    1. Dan is just recently divorced after 10 years of marriage and has moved back to his childhood home to get it ready to put on the market. When Jaden and Brendan, the protagonists from the author's previous book Patient Eyes, move in next door Dan at first isn't pleased but when his misconceptions are resolved the three men quickly become friends. Later on the guys introduce Dan to their friend Ethan and they quickly become friends as well. Soon Dan realizes he feels more than mere friendship for t [...]

    2. Unexpected Guest is the sequel to Patient Eyes and unfortunately, I didn’t read Patient Eyes first. However, this book reads rather well as a stand-alone story and I didn’t feel lost at all as I read it.Dan Anderson is a recently divorced man in his early thirties, living in his childhood home, working on renovating it. When, via his new neighbors, Jayden and Brendan, he meets Ethan Marshall. Ethan, is a landscape architect who has a knack for creating new room layouts. The two men become fa [...]

    3. Unexpected Guest was such an enjoyable book to read. I loved the uncluttered writing and the clarity that Ms. Eisenberg brings to all her books. As the sequel to Patient Eyes, Unexpected Guest continues Jaden's and Brendan's story, but the main story line belongs to Dan and Ethan and their developing relationship. Sequels to well liked books always run the risk of alienating the fans if the story isn't as good, or better, than the original. With Unexpected Guest there is no chance of any disappo [...]

    4. Enjoyable sweet story.Despite it being a 'coming out' story, it wasn't angsty or full of internal musings that usually drive me crazy.Ethan and Dan are both nice guys, i haven't read the first book but i didn't need to to enjoy this story. The situation with Sean and the job situation were cleared up possibily too easily, but it's a romance and so it was nice to just skip the drama.

    5. This was a great sequel to Patient Eyes. It was easy to keep a smile on your face and root for the characters. It was also good to get a peek at how Brendan and Jaden are faring from the first book. Definitely recommended.

    6. Really not angsty but a feel-good read. This can be a stand alone read, but the neighbors have their own book - Patient Eyes - which I would recommend to read before this.

    7. Dan moved into his family home to prepare it for sale after his mom moved out. He sees new neighbors Jaden and Brendan move in and thinks they are college kids. After an embarrassing start, he meets some of their friends and with the help of their friend Ethan, decides to remodel the kitchen before selling. Now Dan is straight, just divorced, or he thinks he is, sort of, maybe. He’s also still obsessed with his childhood best friend with whom he experimented a bit. Ethan more or less moves in [...]

    8. I wanted to like this more than I did. I think the author has a lot of promise, but the story didn't quite work for me. There was good sexual tension in the first half, and I not only enjoyed that but was impressed by how it was accomplished, but for me the story fell apart after that. I thought the troubles on Dan's trip were overblown, and the solution too pat. Most unfortunately, corporate politics would prevent Dan from being reinstated, and I'm sadly speaking from experience. For some reaso [...]

    9. I was really happy to read again about Brandon and Jaden even if they where in the background. The main story topic is interesting and the idea for the twist is good, but the main couple "Dan and Ethan" just don't click. I didn't get the feeling for them, Dan was okay, but Ethan there is absolutly no connection toward him, he is just like a puppet in the play. I can say that I didn't really enjoy that book.

    10. A great read. I loved that reader's got to see little tidbits of what happened to Brendan and Jaden from Patient Eyes . Both Dan and Ethan are very liable characters and I loved their little dance around each other before they finally came together.

    11. 3.5 stars.I quite liked Patient Eyes with Jaden and Branden. The ex-porno stars are an established couple now, and they just bought a house next to Dan. I liked the MCs, Dan and Ethan too, but my favorite moments were the ones between Jaden and Branden. They're really funny :)

    12. For some reason I just couldn't get into this one. Will have to come back and try it again at a later date.

    13. A good story with wonderful characters, But as I've just found out there is a book before this one about jaden & brandon.

    14. A great story of 2 men who find love. I enjoyed reading this simple book in which I learned much about a male relationship.
