This is a major improvement over the old Reinfeld Edition from the late 1950's but it's not bullet proof like problem 104 has a missing White King a quick check of the older book shows it's on f1 so I just penciled it in the book you'll find other mistakes like that in the new checkmate book and find some in the other combinations book and a few typo errors in the solutions.Binding is much improved over the old edition that tended to fall apart no matter how careful one was I went through 2 or 3 [...]

    2. If you know the basic movements of chess and has the aptitude to continue playing, then this is a must have. Its just a standard guidebook for beginners who must learn the usual tactics of the game. As you emerge yourself in chess, you'll definitely look for other chess tactics books available, but still this is a good start. Recommended for chess beginners.

    3. This book is key for learning to see beyond the obvious. There are so many opportunities in chess missed or overlooked because of the blind valuation of the pieces, and this really helps you see past materialism to win in apparently even sutuations.

    4. Essential practice for recognizing the recurring tactical patterns in chess. 15 minutes a day makes a good daily regimen and is virtually guaranteed to improve your play and your rating. This is the probably best book of combinations I've found.

    5. If you want to get better at chess all you should be studying is tactics until you are 1800 ELO. This book can help.
