    1. Due to it's wide range of styles and technique, it is available for all poets whether you be into sonnets or free verse. However, this means if the reader is in a set mind about what sort of poems they like, then you will only be able to enjoy a few poems. The range of styles in my opinion should be viewed as a good thing as it persuades the reader to keep an open mind about various styles, and it enables the whole family to enjoy it. As for the quality of the poems selected, the vast majority we [...]

    2. I'd been looking for a bit of poetry lately, so when I saw this in a charity shop for 50p I thought "why not?" (after I assured myself it wasn't just some book of poetry written ABOUT Robert Pattinson's face or somesuch).I was very glad I picked it up. It's a real eclectic mix of poetry, a bit of everything from Shakespeare to Carol Ann Duffy, sonnets to freeverse it was genuinely a perfect mix. Which was good for me, I'm quite new to reading poetry and while I'm a fan of things that rhyme, I'm [...]

    3. I found, when read in the right frame of mind*, this collection to be mostly beautiful. True, it is eclectic, but I liked that about it. It does explore the many facets and guises of love. As I read I had to make note of the poems that I really adored, and there were certainly more than I could count on one hand. Some made me laugh out loud, at their brevity, content, or not-so-subtle way of addressing certain topics. I don't think you need to be sickeningly in love or a Twi-hard to appreciate t [...]

    4. I picked this up randomly for myself and now I'm so glad I did. It has introduced me to poets who I quickly fell in love with and will continue to read. I liked the variety of poems about love where the soul focus wasn't on kindred spirits. Most of the poems truly made me stop and just appreciate the bittersweet endings and wow, many feelings occurred.

    5. It contains William Shakespeare, Emily Dickinson, E. E. Cummings, Emily Jane Brontë, Christina Rossetti. And other great minds, although, much to my disappointment no Edgar Allan Poe.

    6. I give this 3.5 stars. I enjoyed this very much. There was some I loved and some I did not. Glad I read this!
