    1. Another sweetly romantic Susan Mallery book. I just have an overall love of this author's sense of humor and writing style. I've listened to all of her books on audio, and she has the best reader (Therese Plummer on most of her books) that never fails to bring all the characters to life and makes her books unfold before my very ears. This one was the last book of the Buchanan series, and one of my favorites (Dani's story). Losts of touching moments and worthy side stories. Of course she brought [...]

    2. Just love this family. I am sad this is the last book about them. It was even a treat to have an epilogue. Loved it!!

    3. Okay, but not one of Susan Mallery's better books. This s the fourth in the Buchanan series and have read the first, and really enjoyed it. Based on what I previously read about Dani and what was disclosed to have happened to her since, this story had so much more potential. To have a love interest (whom I really liked) that just happened to be her long lost fathers adopted son was just plain weird. Also, the "Gloria" turnaround seemed too insincere and too unbelieable based on previous behavior [...]

    4. 3.5 stars. After reading Delicious (Buchanans #1), I jumped to book 4 because I find Dani's story more interesting than Walker and Reid's. LOL! You have to admit that no one can top her situation, she was cheated by her paraplegic husband and also found out through Gloria (in a very unpleasant way), that she's not a Buchanan. After Dani's divorce, she never had any luck on her succeeding relationships. Feeling lost, Dani is determined to find her biological father. When she found out that Mark C [...]

    5. What a wonderful finish to the Buchanan series! And yes, I have to admit, I'm pleased I persisted and read all four of them.I loved Dani's story from the very beginning. As already mentioned in the review of Cal's story, it's a family story and I'm a big sucker for that! Family is big in this story as well!Dani finds her biological father, who happens to be Senator Mark Canfield who's running for President. His adopted son, Alex, is his campaign manager. The sparks between Dani and Alex, and the [...]

    6. I'm beginning to think there's nothing Susan Mallery can write that is going to impress me. It's the fourth book I've read after the Fools Gold Almost trilogy, and I just can't get into her. The plot on this was meh, and the characters were meh. I liked Katherine, who wasn't even a main. The two leads were just Dani felt extremely wishy washy. She was just too good, and when she wasn't too good to be true, she was dishwater. Alex never quite captured my attention because I just never understood [...]

    7. Two-haiku review:She finds her fatherFalls for his adopted sonCan it ever work?A little ickyPolitics and familyReally well written

    9. Ever since finding out that she is not a real Buchanan, Dani has felt like the odd man out. She's tried to find her father, and through her grandmother, she has finally found him: Mark Canfield, Senator and potential presidental candidate. When she finally works up the courage to go see him, Dani is confronted by Alex Canfield. The senator's adopted son and self-proclaimed gatekeeper/dragon. From the start, the two clash but there is that attraction in the back of their minds. However, Alex is i [...]

    10. This is the 4th in the Buchanan series. But only the second that I have read and now I'm obsessed about getting the others. So I guess you can say that I loved this book. Susan Mallery is a smart and funny writer and a joy to read. Dani Buchanan is a woman that believed all of her life that she was a Buchanan, but recently she found out that she isn't. She is the daughter of a US Senator that is running for President. She is scared to death about meeting him but overcomes her fear and try's to g [...]

    11. I feel like giving the book 2,5 stars but I am in a good mood so ahAnyway, I was so excited to read this book after the last 2 books in Susan Mallery's Buchanan series were quite good but this excitement left already after a few pages. :( I confess, the beginning was funny! After that, it went down the drain. Like reallyIt's like nothing really happened at all. No highlights, no nothing! I expected the book to be at least a bit funnier but even that was a huge disappointment. Maybe it was becaus [...]

    12. 3.5 stars. This is the last in Mallery's "Buchanan" books, a good series for readers who like contemporary romances that are light in feel, but have some meat on their bones. I read this a few years ago and thought it might improve on rereading in its proper place at the end of the series; it did, a bit. I appreciated Dani's straightforwardness and take-no-prisoners attitude in the previous books, and knowing how much she suffered in them made it more forgivable that she wimps out somewhat in th [...]

    13. 3.5 Stars, rounded up.Susan Mallery is my go-to for contemporary romance novels! I adore her writing, and have yet to meet a character/story I don't just adore! The Buchanan's have earned a special place in my heart now that I've finished this series! I have loved following Dani through the series, and was excited to see her storyline wrap up! I'm so glad that she found her biological father, although I have to admit that I was disappointed with him as a whole. But his family? I loved them all, [...]

    14. This is a great book. I haven't read the previous Buchanan books, but this one stands perfectly well on its own. The plot is perfectly constructed, deceptively simple yet never boring. And all the characters are fun to read. Best of all, the chemistry between the two main characters, Dani and Alex, is convincing and highly entertaining. The attraction between these two comes alive off of the page and, despite their relatively brief acquaintance, you can really see them fall for each other as the [...]

    16. I liked the storyline of this book. Dani's search for her birth father, him being a politician with a big adopted family, Alex and Dani's attraction, the father not being perfect etc. The themes were quite dense and interesting, especially the story when it is centered around Alex's mom, she is a very interesting character.I real page turner and it is nice to see a Buchanan lady who is as sexy as her brothers.

    17. By far my favorite in the series. Conclusion of the four stories was done superbly. I find myself reading this one over and over.

    18. I liked it. The last of the Buchanan clan was as interesting as the first. One of my favorite romance series I've read to date.

    19. From my blog.blessedx3ane/2012Some background information (from my Reading Challenges Review #1)Each book is about a family member. Book #1 (Delicious) was about Cal Buchanan & his ex wife, Penny.Book #2, Irresistible. It is about Walker Buchanan, who we met in Book #1.Book #3 (Sizzling) is about Reid Buchanan & the one nurse he hired for his grandmother, Gloria. Book #4 (Tempting) is about Dani Buchanan & about her fresh start.Spoiler Warning: If you have not read this book, stop! R [...]

    21. This book really havel HAPPY ENDINGas i followed Buchanans Series #1 - #3, me only focused on how Perry & Cal.but this Danielle really have complicated relationship as i read on #3 Reid case. Dani clearly get tired of those situation that makes her feeling confused over LOVE.But these series really recommended for those who linger for passionate love & marriage (of course)

    22. Not a fan of how wishy-washy Dani is, although I do love her spirit when it comes to fighting for her family.Alex isn't even a Buchanan but I think he's my favorite boy from this series (I'M SORRY, WALKER).

    23. sebelumnya baca kisah si CalPen tapi berhenti sampe bab 7. Apa ya, plotnya kurang greget Daaan ketemulah sama si DanLex. Yah, baca tentang kisah senator, anak disabilitas, dan nenek gloria yg tobat. Baru dan menghiburkocak pas Alex ngelamar Dani HAHAHA

    24. This one brought the series to a close nicely. I'm so glad that Dani got such a satisfying story, especially considering all that she's been through in the previous books.

    25. Aunque hubo momentos en los que parecía que nada ocurría, me gustó este libro.Lo único que no le perdonare nunca a Susan Mallery es el cambio de personalidad que tuvo Dani en las últimas paginas.

    26. This should probably get 3.5 stars since it was, for me, the best of the series. This one had tension and more resistance to love as all the others, but it was also a good story.
