    1. Foi bom! Adorei ele conseguir manter uma relação com o Pai.E o final, eles juntos, valeu todo o sofrimento.

    2. To get a good idea of what to expect from MARS you can check out my review of the complete series on my blog Reading Robyn It's spoiler free, has images from the manga for those interested in a preview of the art, and gives a good overview of the roller coaster that is this series. SERIES OVERALL RATING: 4 STARSWhen I first started MARS it was way back in 2010, now that I've finally finished (January 2012) I feel it's only right to write some sort of review. I'll be honest, there's a really good [...]

    3. What a great ending. The characters have grown so much. Masao is an enigma to me, mostly cause I missed volume 6. I love the little monologue at the end.

    4. The Taiwanese drama adaptation was the reason why I fell in love with this story but the manga has just taken that love and made it multiply. Ren and Kira are one of those timeless couples to me and their bond throughout the series just made me truly believe in the power of love. In the manga I also found that I enjoyed the manga version of Masao's story. MARS is highly readable and deals with darker issues and shows how people can overcome anything. The story and the characters felt real to me. [...]

    5. **Review is for the entire series**It's been probably 15 years now since I read this series for the first time. I loved it then, and I still love it today. For all the excessive drama, and overly-damaged characters, I still feel that it sits at an entirely different level to every other manga I've read. This isn't silly or funny. It isn't a classic 'comic'. It's a beautiful, wrenching look into the human psyche. The stunning artwork combined with genuine character development combine to create s [...]

    6. I've read this series more times than I can count. I love it to pieces. It's definitely an angsty one, but I can't help but love these characters so much. And reading it again made me so happy!

    7. This will serve as my review for the whole series! Also sorry if I spammed the updates page. Also also it bugs me that GoodReads won't list these books in order under my "books read" thing, AUGH.Right, so let me tell you about Mars and myself. In high school, there was a three layer bookshelf dedicated to manga. They had the entire Mars series, which is how I first read it.Falling in love, I decided to try and buy my own copy of all 15 volumes. It took a combination of amazon, Chapters, and a loc [...]

    8. see full review @ Katie's CornerToday I’m covering a work, which I actually found in yahoo answers. It was a funny story because I was searching for a manga with lots off kisses, and the best answer had a list of mangas. The top one and the most recommended was this one. Though it was not really what I expected (I mean, there weren’t that many kisses), however, I enjoyed it a lot! I loved the story a lot. The idea is not all that unique, however, the way the story develops is great. It someh [...]

    9. I watched the Taiwanese drama version when I'm in high school and I love it so much. I read the manga hmm 2 or 3 years ago I think and I love it much better than the drama version! especially the final chapter :) I forgot to add these mangas to hehe

    10. Today's review is on MARS volume 15 by Fuyumi Soryo. As it is the last in the series you need to have read the first 14 to understand the story. It is published by Tokyopop. The cover is painting that Kira did of Rei at the beginning of the series. There is no sex, no language, and violence in this volume. The intended reader is young adult but there is enough teen drama and the like that adults can enjoy it too. The story is told from Kira's perspective. There Be Spoilers Ahead. From the back of [...]

    11. I can not believe this series was not already logged prior to today. MARS has been one of my all-time favorite manga series for the better part of a decade. I can't put a finger on exactly what makes it so endearing and enduring for me, but this marks at least the dozenth time I have read this series. I usually reread it at least once a year, occasionally more.Whenever I describe this series to someone, I tend to refer to it as a soap opera manga. And how could you not? Repressed memories coming [...]

    12. It did take me three days to finish this series I was pretty confused at the beginning because the narration went slow at times and some things were left unexplained. I was finding some things quite surperficial, but as I read the volumes, I was surprised to see that I was wrong. This work had dept and I love the psychology in it that links the various characters. Overall, I'd give it 3.5 stars. It was what I needed to read right now, yet I feel as if it lacked of what I usually love and find in [...]

    13. Overall this was a very good series. Some of the layout and styles are very telling of the fact that it's an older series, but it's still a very charming read. It reminded me a lot of 'Kare First Love', although the both protagonists were much better in this series.

    14. OK, this is for the overall sereis which I finished on January 8, 2011.Masao is just a phsyco! He is crazy man, I say crazy. WIth all those stuff and the stuff he says and with his mind tricks and anger problems. He's a m******. Though he says that he isn't. He is though. Remember at the end?! He fully is and I don't care what people think. He fully is oneG! It is so horrible what happened to her! D:The first thing I wanna point out is that Kira cries a lot. She cries when she is happy. She crie [...]

    15. Review from book 1-15.It's rare nowadays to find a manga as good and deep as Mars. It's not merely a superficial/cheap story with two-dimensional characters like we usually find in most mangas published lately. I could understand why it was really popular back then, and the story even being adapted into a taiwanese drama with a same title, starred by Barbie Hsu and Vic Zhou. The story involves issue of PTSD, rape, bullying, suicide, psychosis, anxiety, but it also has a sweet romance like any oth [...]

    16. this book is fascinating. it discusses various themes such as suicide and rape. Rei a delinquent captivated bu motorcycle (pro racing) witnessed his so called pure twin brother comite suicide infront of his very own eyes. later on we discover that his brother actually saw all humans as useless peices of meat and wished to scar his brother with an unhealable wound caused by his suicide. The twins mother suffers as well from mental illness (she hung herself) she had betrayed her husband and slept [...]

    17. I can't believe I finished the series again! I'm always a little bit said when I come to the end of a really good series, but Rei and Kira are the kind of characters that live on even after the end of their series. I'm guessing that in total the series takes place over the span of about 3 or 4 years. I think Rei was 16 in Volume 1 and he's got to be about 19 when it ended. It's such a complicated series, but for anyone who can't deal with heavy subject matter - suicide, murder, rape, etc. then it [...]

    18. Final volume in the epic teen romance saga. Kira and Rei have finally overcome every obstacle and are ready to marry on Rei's 18th birthday. Masao however has been discharged from the psychiatric hospital and he's still obsessed with Rei and stabs him in an alley. This last volume's ok and has the required happy ending, however I did find it a bit lacking. The wedding in particular is very disappointing, its not the big white wedding you'd expect. I also find myself questioning Kira's sanity. She [...]

    19. Rei is the type of guy that Kira couldn't stand; flirty, reckless, and a biker. When a chance encounter leads to Rei saving Kira from a teacher with bad intentions, neither of them know the extent to which the other will impact them. On the outside, MARS is a typical coming-of-age story centered on the relationship between good girl and a bad boy. But underneath the romance lie stories of suicide, rape and murder; the idea that everyone has a secret to hide, even those who seem most innocent. Wh [...]

    20. I read this story before, but decided to reread it again. I still love it! Both characters are interesting and troubled. The only things that annoyed me was the ever persistent step father and that wierd kid who killed his friend and pretends to be mentally ill but really he's just crazy as hell. They both have an obsession that makes no sense(well the step father was a rapist I guess he had his reasons for wanting his prey as close as possible [eww] ). But yeah its totally a dramatic read that [...]

    21. I loved this manga. Read the entire story in one day. The typical romance with two opposite characters, cliche but it was very entertaining. The mystery was killing me, it got deeper the more you read into it. The characters did evolve throughout the story and i enjoy it till the very last chapter. However i wished there was more development in the romance, meaning more scenes about their relationship and i wanted to see them in the future how it would have been, but i guess that'll be up to us [...]

    22. Holy shit. I take back what I thought about MARS before. It began with a typical love story, the climate got me good and it delivers a perfect ending. I have no regrets on liking this kind of story. Besides, it involved with things like violent temper guy with an unexpected love match (she has a difficult history and such), I never think that I will end up liking it so bad. And fucking Masao still angers with his little fucking psycho personality. I am glad he erases Rei for good because the guy [...]

    23. I love this series!!!!! It made me cry, get mad and fall in love. I went through so many emotional roller coasters because of all of the psychological problems, situations, the character dwelt with. i first watched the drama first, but the manga was still able to break me emotionally. The characters development was well developed considering what they went through. I loved the intensive distribution of people's coping mechanism, mentality, psychological state. It was so well distributed. This ma [...]

    24. This is one of the few "modern" or recent shojo manga that caught my attention. The story itself is quite trivial, the usual amount of disgraces is falling over the two main characters and the setting is the traditional japanese-scholastic one. However, what makes the difference is that the two characters evolve from the beginning of the story in a really realistic way and their feelings are described in such a way that the two seem coming out of the comic. A really nice reading for whoever want [...]

    25. Ever since Tokyo Pop decided to come out and make this series avaliable in English I was there buying volume 1-15/16 month after month. I fell in love with the art style and the characters even before I read the manga. This is when it wasn't even translated. However at the age of 15 reading this series it was my favourite and now at the age of 25 it still is. This is a great romance manga for anyone who likes the theme and a plot of bad boy falls for quite girl and drama. Enjoy.

    26. A very beautiful end tothe series. I expected a bit more of a bang at the ending, however it ended quite plainly. I found it to be a bit anti-climactic. Nevertheless, I absolutely loved this series. The characters developed well, especially Rei. It definitely has a rollercoaster of emotions and a couple of times I was on the verge of crying. Although some of the situations are a bit over the top, I just could not deny how great of a series this was.

    27. (Reviewing the whole series)I've always really liked Mars even if it takes 15 books to reach the end. The psychology of the main characters is fascinating and I like how they work through the problems that arise. They don't alwasy pick the best way to resolve something, but they do pick a consistent way that matches their characters. You believe that they really would do what they're doing.Plus, as a couple they are very cute.

    28. If I could sum up the overall feeling of this series it would be Kira wide-eyed and crying over something shocking that was just revealed. Most of the series was melodrama, but a classic that I had to read. After having read countless of manga stories, the westerness of this one is kind of shocking. It must have been a trend in the 90s. The feel of manga school drama today are much more culturally Japanese than this one was. I mean they wore street clothes to school. Are there school like that?
