    1. Timeless stories, anecdotes, and advice from one of America's political giants. Still relevant to this day.

    2. I read this for my political book for the winter book challenge on the nest book club board. It was ok. I'm not much into politics so a lot of it didn't make much sense to me. I enjoyed how it was broken up into short stories and there were some funny ones. It was also neat to see how many famous people Tip O'Neill knew when he was Speaker of the House. I liked his idea of politics which didn't seem as sleezy as most. He seemed like a good guy. I also liked that he was from Massachusetts :)

    3. This book is an excellent primer on electoral politics: how to get elected, the pitfalls to avoid, how to stay in office, and the importance of dedicated constituent service. An inside look at what it means to gain and hold political office in the United States, and an excellent companion to Chris Matthews' "Hardball".

    4. It's true! I don't know what to do with myself since the election is over! I mean, I rushed home from Kindergarden to watch The Iran Contra Hearings on TV! Found this book for a buck at a thrift store. Remember his voice? so awesome!

    5. Another one of those "must read" books when it comes to politics and like all of those books, this one is no different in that it can be applied to everyday life just as easily as it can be to politics.
