    1. Politics, Terror and Treason battle with a dead religion in the newest Sam Jardine ThrillerThe Last Oracle is the third in the Sam Jardine crime thrillers series of books by Christopher Hepworth. Set some time after the close of the Wulff Agenda, negotiator Sam Jardine has now joined the Daingerfield Oil company. Led by the often-brutal oil magnate Rex Daingerfield, Sam finds himself paired with his daughter Sienna in a bid for the fracking company to expand into renewable energy. Sam accompanie [...]

    2. This is the best action story I've read this year. It's an environmental techno-thriller that somehow manages not to be preachy as Hepworth packs his pages with an Egyptian goddess, an oil and gas magnate, a healthy sample of Washington movers and shakers and a hero, in Sam Jardine, who would do such classics as Clive Cussler's Dirk Pitt proud. Hepworth tells the story with a combination of wit and compassion and a careful attention to detail and the current world scene that frequently brought a [...]

    3. This is book three in the Sam Jardine Crime Thriller Series. Wow, what a book. Get prepared because once you pick this book up, it's hard to put down. In my opinion, this is the best book of the series and can be read as a standalone. So much action and suspense. More twists and turns than a roller coaster. This was a well written book with a strong plot and captivating characters. I received an arc copy and voluntarily chose to review this book.

    4. The Last Oracle is the third book in the Sam Jardine Crime Thriller series. Even though this is part of a series, this is a standalone with no cliffhanger. There is violence. The book blurb adequately describes the storyline so I'm not going to repeat all of that info here. The author did a great job of explaining what is going on in Africa, the Middle East, Canada, Greenland, and elsewhere. This book did get a bit preachy about climate change, which for me detracted from the characters and story [...]

    5. Sam Jardine, the consummate negotiator is back! He needs to find a way to meet his next challenge – build a business based on renewable energy, that takes him on a journey across a number of ‘exotic’ locations – from the icy landscapes of Greenland to the deserts of Egypt and the corridors of power in Washington DC. And along the way, he encounters beautiful women, unscrupulous villains, the supernatural and comes face to face with the underbelly of terrorism.I enjoy a book that satisfie [...]

    6. The third and most thrilling installment yet of the Sam Jardine series had me captivated from the very start. The Last Oracle is an adventure in the classic sense but it addresses serious contemporary issues and real-life threats to humanity.Sam Jardine is a negotiator with an oil company that is fracking for oil in the environmentally sensitive Greenland ice shelf. He has an attack of conscience as he negotiates a drilling permit in an African game reserve and is re-deployed to Daingerfield’s [...]

    7. The Last Oracle - a review by Rosemary KennyWith all the natural disasters taking place in the world right now - hurricanes, fires, floods and global warming to name but a few - this superbly-written apocalyptic book is bang up-to-the-minute in its theme of environmental cataclysms, triggered by the latest predilection for fracking on an ever-larger scale. The Last Oracle has strong, well-rounded characters in Sam Jardine and Rex Daingerfield - the latter of whom is father to the eponymous Last O [...]

    8. An engrossing financial thriller that explores and reveals the appalling degree of greed and manipulation of a few for their own financial gain and political notoriety. Sam Jardine is once again being called in to negotiate a monumental deal. Known by many as a gifted yet quirky negotiator, Jardine is known for getting the job done. His sense of morals and ethical behavior presents him as naïve but he is far smarter and all too often underestimated by most.Jardine is asked to negotiate a deal t [...]

    9. Wow what a read. You cannot walk away from this book until you’ve totally finished it. Love this author. Received an ARC and couldn’t help not reviewing.

    10. ‘Those who will not reason, perish in the act. Those who will not act, perish for that reason.’ – WH AudenAustralian author Christopher Hepworth was born in the UK and raised in Zambiia in central Africa. Writing is a second career for Christopher – he was a professional highly award negotiator for some of the world’s largest companies in the world and his working with a variety of captains of industry supplied him with ideas for characters and concepts of his written work. As he state [...]

    11. This was my first Sam Jardine novel that I have read. But it won’t be my last! It is a fast paced thriller, full of suspense and intrigue. I found the environmental crisis that was put into this book well researched and the results terrifying. With a dash of reality and fantasy combined with a blue whale and an Egyptian princess and a negotiator for an oil mogul it’s a fast paced novel and hard to put down. I received an advanced copy for an honest review.

    12. Haunting, action packed Eco thriller with paranormal overtones. Disturbing real world crises with oil, climate, water and weather. What does it all come down to? Can connections between forces of earth, spirit and sky save us if we all work together, or if we follow a vision?Looking for a heavy hitting read for those nights when you can't sleep? This will keep you up until the last page!

    13. Thought provokingI had no idea where this novel would go when I chose it. Picked it up for my love of all things Egyptian and it led me on an adventure that gripped me throughout and I never would have guessed the ending! Kudos, excellent thriller

    14. I loved this book! Thriller, romance, science fiction; it hit all the boxes for me.I seldom reviewbut this book was a good read.

    15. This is the second FABULOUS book that I've read by this author (Christopher Hepworth) and he did not let me down!! No spoilers here. Let me start by saying that although this is part of the Sam Jardine series it is easily read and easy to get into as a stand alone. I went into this book a little bit skeptical only because of the description of the book, but having read this author before, I kept an open mind. I was NOT sorry! The book was captivating, the characters engaging, and the story was e [...]

    16. Terrorist, environmentally challenged oilmen, ancient religions, and extremely intelligent, beautiful women. What more could you ask for? How about prophesies from ages gone by? American brothers on the opposite sides of a middle eastern, religious war?As much as I considered skipping ahead, I was unable to. The story is simply too good to rush.Well written with good character development along with the great plot and subplots.I was provided this book by the author as an ARC; however, the review [...]

    17. While this is the third book in the series it is a stand alone read. Like the previous Sam Jardine novels it is an exciting read filled with twists and turns. Once you start reading this book you will find it very difficult to put down. Another Christopher Hepworth novel I highly recommend!
