    1. When I write a review I don't really talk much about the plot because that is what the blurb is for. I tell you if I liked the book or not, and why. I also received this book free and am voluntarily leaving a review. I really loved this book because the characters at very well written and their relationship with each other work so wellwhether they love or hate each other. all works. This is one of those mysteries that once you get started reading ityou immediately connect with the characters and [...]

    2. “Mystic Mischief” earns 5+/5 Treasure Seeker Invasions! After a disastrous first encounter with boyfriend Jack Stockton’s parents in Palm Beach, Melanie ‘Mel’ Hamilton decides to cut the visit short and head back to New Orleans. Jack returns with her, but the flight was very chilly since she felt he made a lackluster attempt to rescue her from his mother’s cold shoulder. Although the passing of one day seemed to warm up her heart, it burst into green flames when Jack’s former girlfr [...]

    3. Melanie and Jack went to visit his parents in Florida, and thing were very hostile between Mel and Jack's mom. Thus starts the third book in this series, and with their return to Mystic Isle, Mel is mad at Jack's lack of support while on their trip. Imagine her shock when the day after they get back, Jack's ex-girlfriend Sydney (who was his mother's favored guest this past week) comes to Mystic Isle to stay at the resort and be with Jack! Seeing Sydney throw herself all over Jack, Mel decides th [...]

    4. This is the third book in the Mystic Isle Mysteries series. I enjoyed the mystery. There were so many suspects it was hard to pin down who the killer was. I didn't figure it out until the mystery was unraveling. To me that's the sign of a fantastic mystery. There was a pirate and treasure hunt aspect to this story and I enjoyed very much. It was an original idea and it kept me engrossed. I felt like I was on a treasure hunt myself.I really like Mel she is interesting and you just want the best fo [...]

    5. Melanie Hamilton, resident tattoo artist at the Mansion on Mystic Isle, and her boyfriend Jack Stockton, the resort's general manager, are back for another adventure in this third Mystic Isles mystery. This time they are involved in a pirate treasure hunt. Fortune hunters have arrived searching for a long-lost and priceless letter stolen from the famous pirate, Jean Lafitte. The adventure starts as soon as Melanie and Jack return from a surprise vacation, to Palm Beach, to meet his parents. This [...]

    6. Mystic Isle Mystery #3 but 1st one I've read. Cozy murder mystery at a small hotel/resort on the bayou in Louisiana. Liked the setting but took immediate dislike to heroine because she is tattoo artist. Very shallow characters. Entertaining although sometimes frustrating. The identity of the murderer was not overwhelmingly obvious. Loved the gay couple who owned/ran the hotel/resort. Was fun but sometimes I wanted to yell at some characters for being so stupid. One of the characters completely c [...]

    7. This is a great book; this is the third book in the Mystic Isle Mysteries series and is written by Sally Smith and Jean Steffens. This is a great book with a wonderful story and well developed characters. This book will keep you reading long into the night. If you are looking for a great book, then you need to read this book. I am looking forward to reading the next book by this great author. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader’s copy of this book. The free book held no determination on [...]

    8. I love this series set in New Orleans. The third book in the series finds Melanie in the middle of a true pirate loot hunt with the loot having belonged to famed pirate Jean Lafitte. Melanie's boyfriend Jack Stockton has his ex girlfriend hanging around in this one, so along with the murder mystery there is that tension broiling underneath. Love this quirky cast of characters, and always look forward to the next book in this series. I am voluntarily reviewing a copy I received from the author.

    9. Mystic Mischief is a fun addition to a uniquely delightful series. Be prepared to be enchanted by the Cajun flavor of some of the characters and the warmth of all as they welcome you to a world that includes hauntings but one that should not include murder! Romantic discord plague our favorite couple while a thieving alligator plagues the resort guests, and treasure hunters storm the resort. Loved this one as much as the first one.

    10. The Mystic Isle series is a fun read about a mansion made into a resort for people who like a little bit of the paranormal, magic, great food, and a spa. Throw in a mystery and a little bit of history about a famous pirate and guests won't want to check out and readers won't be able to put the book down. I read it in two days. Ready for the next in the series.

    11. IntriguingThis one really kept me in my toes. There was quite a bit of tension between Mel and Jack. I was completely surprised by who the killer was. I look forward to book 4.
