    1. A highly sophisticated and cunning conspiracy with an affable, unsung champion at its heart –it’s confirmed, Colin Crampton is a crime reporting legend. And what an accomplished finale to a lively and evolving cosy trilogy! It began with a train robbery and ended with a… well, that’s for you to discover! But I will tell you it involves Colin’s boldest journalism, EVER. Although there’s a quick recap of the proceedings from the previous novella, to fully appreciate the intricacies of t [...]

    2. I am reviewing this as the whole trilogy. I loved these books and could not put them down, each one is brilliant. My original plan was to read these books in between reading others, well it was a plan that never materialised because as soon as I had read the first, I went straight onto the second, then had to read the final one.Peter has a very fluid style of writing that had me addicted straight away. They are set in the 60’s, and this adds to the charm of the books, more relaxed read. They a [...]

    3. The first part of this trilogy began with a robbery in Brighton, overshadowed by the internationally reported Great Train Robbery. Was there a link, or was this crime committed on the town's tiny Volks railway associated with something far deeper than a two million pound heist ? Brighton Chronicle reporter Colin Crampton may have landed back in Britain, but with a handful of emenies made during his fact finding trip to New York, has he really made it back safely and are all his enemies really en [...]

    4. "Somewhat Lighthearted, Fast-Moving Investigative Novel"This is the last story of this trilogy. It's a comic crime caper taking place in Brighton, England. Ace crime reporter, Colin Crampton, believes he's discovered the motive behind a train robbery which ended in murder. With his girlfriend, Shirley Goldsmith, they set out on his most daring adventure. The characters in this book are well defined, sometimes humorous, and the story is also very enjoyable. It's a fun, exciting story. Give it a t [...]

    5. Colin Crampton of the Brighton Chronicle returns from New York where #2 in this series took him. Now he attempts to track down the mind behind the Great Train Robbery, and in the process concludes that the main target was not the money after all.Under pressure always by his editor to come up with a good story, Colin puts himself and his girlfriend Shirley in incredible danger.A good, light, entertaining and short read. Recommended.

    6. Another great bookI've read all 3 in this series loved them all humorous and intriguing all at once makes for a great quick read
