    1. 3.5 starsI was in hurt/comfort heaven with this one. And the writing was better than I expected. One thing that could have been better was the relationship itself. The author put a lot of time in to the build-up and the friendship, but not in the romantic part. I felt as if that could have used a bit more page time.We had the hurt, we had the comfort, we had the friendship, but then we got the I love yous and the sex all at once. And after that it was like the author decided that they’re togeth [...]

    2. I received an ARC from the author.Jonah is a cop who grew up protecting other kids from bullies. Jonah is still living with his former girlfriend even though they’ve broken up. He meets Davie at the police station when Davie comes to get (Jason) his boyfriend after he’s been arrested. Davie grew up the poorest kid in school and learned to read people in order to diffuse tense situations. These survival skills are used daily living with his boyfriend. When Jason loses control again, things es [...]

    3. Jonah & Davie met in high school. Jonah always stood up for Davie, as he was bullied a lot. Being different apparently makes you a target.Davie, never thought he was worth anything. Never really had love. So when Jonah tells him he is amazing and perfect. He has always believed in him. This is a sweet and almost bittersweet story. These characters are fun to read about and the character development is like a prize. This was definitely worth the read. ****I voluntarily reviewed an advanced cop [...]

    4. Another great feel good story by Peter Styles. It's so sad that some people are treated so cruelly by society. Emotional and physical abuse takes such a toll on the human spirit. It was a small light in an otherwise tragic existence of Davey's life that his two high school champions reconnected with him in his hour of need and gave him a safe place to live and the encouragement to see himself as a worthy human being. The love and support of Jonah lead to the HEA for these two deserving men.

    5. The book blurb states it better than I ever good.************************************************************First of all I have to say I loved this book! It was great and "Save Me" hit all my buttons: it made me sad, mad and happy; all through out the book.Yes the book blurb states it better than I ever could but this book was so much more than that to me. We have Jonah, a cop, with an innate need to help, runs into an old high school graduate, in less than idea circumstances; Davie, a victim o [...]

    6. Jonah, a police officer with a saviour complex, becomes romantically involved with an ex classmate who is escaping a seriously abusive relationship. Jonah has recently acknowledged his homosexuality to himself and his family. He has been rejected by his family and finds himself still emotionally enmeshed with his former Girlfriend though she has accepted his sexuality and the end of their relationship. Peter Styles writes very well that even when the subject matter is tough, I tend to keep readi [...]

    7. What can I say about this book???? Hmm it was a beautifully written story about a guy who always dreamed of being a hero when he was a young child. He didn't like bullying so he did his best to help those who could not defend themselves all through school. He even became a police officer just so he can continue on with his "save the world" self. Jonah Burke. What Jonah never realized while he was saving all of these people was that he actually needed saving himself. He was with the same woman si [...]

    8. Jonah and Davie are two pieces that truly fit together. Both are missing something of themselves, for different reasons. Jonah's missing piece is somewhat based on guilt over what he realizes he can't provide for others who are close to him, without losing himself in the process. Davie is a survivor, but never really had a strong sense of self thanks to some really bad circumstances and miserable people that he wasn't in a position to escape, particularly after patterns of behavior had become to [...]

    9. “A kiss is a kiss is a kiss… but in that moment, my world exploded.”I loved this. Jonah and Davie are such a beautiful complement to each other that I couldn’t get enough of the simmering tension between them. Jonah’s protective instincts, honed from a childhood desire to be a hero, are on full alert when he crosses paths with Davie, whose life has taken a distinct downturn since he was a bullied high school student. This isn’t a simple case of hero saves the day though, these two me [...]

    10. Just wowIts always hard to read when someone is being abused. Davie was obviously abused. I want to judge all the people who were around him. Why didn't they do something? However Davie was a smart kid. He didn't let people know. I was really rooting for him and Jonah. Jonah is an amazing guy who wants to help people andd make everything better. Its excruciating to see him be unable to help Davie. Davie could have been killed just like his mom and Jonah couldn't do anything without Davie' help. [...]

    11. This story is very centered on Jonah, which is not surprising since it's his voice as the narrator. But it is somewhat disappointing because it would have been great to get to know Davie better. As it is, he only has moments of cute and sweet that tantalize the reader without allowing you to also fall for him. This author has not written poorly yet, and the streak continues. This is still a book I can endorse gladly, just not as enthusiastically as the rest in his lineup.I voluntarily reviewed a [...]

    12. Great bookFound this story heartbreaking sweet and beautiful. I felt anger, sadness, hope and joy. Angry for all Davie had been thru in his life and what Jonah was experiencing in his present. Sad for Davie thinking he wasn't worth anything. Sad for Jonah being hurt by his family and sad for Carrie. Joy that Davie found his self worth and he and Jonah found love and healing together. Good book.

    13. Jonah reminded me a lot of Steve Rogers aka Captain America. Even though he came out and broke up with his very longtime girlfriend, they were still roommates and best friends. He wanted to help everyone. While this was a romance story, it blended well into Jonah's own struggles with coming out as gay.

    14. Ok storyCharacters were cool and it was a good story but that was really it. I feel sad that a parent would ever turn there back on their child just because they're gay. It wasn't something that he did wrong to them. They should want him to be happy no matter what.

    15. ❤️Super cute and pretty deep considering how short it was. Read it in less than 3 hours. But I liked it a lot and want to see more about them in the future
