    1. Five stars and this goes on my exquisite reads shelf because it is an enjoyable, cosy and comforting shifter story. This is a lovely follow up from book 1 and I do hope the author will write more in this world of shifters. In this story Kine the murderous alpha from book one is on the run. 2. The good things: non-formulaic writing and imagination. Tough interpersonal relations questions asked. The bad: then the questions were left without real resolution. Can I love a man who murdered children? No, get away from me monster. After a night of pseudo-punishment: sure, I love you mate. Can a former dominant submit to his new mate? Let a couple of days pass, he won't care anymore. It left me off-balance as a reader.

    3. The writing seemed disjointed. No longer feeling interested in what happens next. Perhaps another run through with editing would help.
