    1. Black DragonOh, I do not like black poison spitting dragons especially when they sleep in two hundred year cycles. This is an engrossing tale filled with several sub plots, I don't like the ending but will not be a spoiler. Great stuff!

    2. Not The Typical Dragon-Slayer Story. This novel has an interesting literary universe in which various nations, and factions within those nations, pursue their own agendas while dealing with the recent end of the dragon's hibernation cycle. The protagonist, Olivia Moross, is caught directly between theses competing nations and factions when her status as a member of both one of the nobility and one of the Paladins of her faith cause the aristocracy and the church question her loyalties. There are a [...]

    3. When an expedition of elite warriors goes missing in the fetid Kero Swamp, Olivia Moross, Priestess of Astor and daughter of the regional prefect, is caught in the conflict between her divine holy order, the sinister Kesh wizards, and the nobles of the ruling class of Ulatha. Seeking the fate of the lost expedition, and struggling to learn what might exist in the desolate Kero Swamp, Olivia finds herself battling human, beastly and supernatural forces. With the help of her father's nobles, and a [...]

    4. Good story; some sentence level problems; disappointing endingWhile I enjoyed the story, I felt like the ending of this book was a disappointment. I don't do spoilers, so that is all I will say about that. There were plenty of surprises throughout the story, which I liked. I liked the fact that the women were the stronger warriors. My biggest problem with this book were the proofreading mistakes. In fact, one particular partial sentence I remember was, when Olivia and Felix were escaping from th [...]

    5. Not for everyone. So I've read a lot of Margaret Weiss and Tracy Hickman books, which are awesome. So I saw that this was about dragons and I was like this should be awesome. I was not expecting anything as good as the Weiss and Hickman stories, but something different. Well indeed it was different and terrible. There are really so many problems with this book that I'm not going to name them all. I skipped whole paragraphs and sometimes whole pages because there was so much information that didn' [...]

    6. I think this book would have been better served being longer or a two parter. I think the transition of Olivia from wallflower to hero should have been more fleshed out. Also, new world magic and politics could have benefitted as well. That being said, very promising series and the ending was great. Look forward to reading more of these.

    7. Interesting story but being short on world building, it's hard to get one's mind around the vision of the whole. The relationship of the segments aren't defined. This left me reading pieces that just weren't connected that well. Perhaps reading more of the series would help. The character development is good and it's an enjoyable read otherwise.

    8. The Black DragonVery nice story, I was surprised how smoothly the tale flows. The author is very prolific in his style as I was surprised by the intrigue as it unfolds. Definitely worth reading.

    9. Enjoyed the black dragonI really enjoyed this book and am moving on to the next in the series. I hope this series stays as intriguing

    10. Characters very stereotypical; conversations seem too formal, not natural ways of talking. Needs some good editing as well.

    11. I couldn't finish it. Get a beta reader/ a better editor. The poor editing destroyed my immersion in the story and aggravated me to the point of returning the book immediately without finishing it.

    12. Bummer,of a bookWhere the meat? You got to be kidding me there is nothing to this book,a wast of timen I hope I didn't pay for it
