    1. (Source: I received a digital copy of this book for free on a read-to-review basis. Thanks to Full Fathom Five and NetGalley.)Book 1:"Tonight, I sit in the graveyard and think of Sam. Poor Sam, always hoping to get a tomato from my dead garden."Well, this was a bit of an odd story about a divorced woman who was unable to have children, who liked to ‘garden’ a graveyard, and talk to the ghosts of the people buried there. The story was less creepy, and more ‘this girl has issues’ though, w [...]

    2. (I received a copy from Netgalley, In exchange for an honest review.)Overall rating - 2.7/5The Blacksmith - 2.5I felt a bit sorry for the main character in this at the start, but that only lasted a chapter, and then I just found her weird. This fell flat for me unfortunately, and I just found it weird. Jessie - 2.75This one wasn't quite as bad as the first one, but I still didn't enjoy it that much.I'm hoping there's another improvement with book three.Dirt - 2.75This one was about the same as t [...]

    3. Need some creepy, weird stories with ghosts and murders? Here's where you'll find them. This is a set of four stories, that seem like they might be read separately, but they all entwine together rather nicely and only read as a whole they make a complete story.I have to warn you, I don't know if I can tell you anything about the stories without some spoilers. I will do my best, but beware that I might write something you don't want to know aboutLet me tell you a bit about each of the stories. The [...]

    5. I received this book VIA NetGalley in return for an honest review.SWEET MOTHER OF GOODNESS!!! These stories were so amazing! I know I got the ARC, but I can not WAIT to buy this book. The last horror book I read that was this awesome was literally over a year ago. I loved everything about this book. I loved the story line, the characters, how everything blended together and even when new characters were brought in, you still had the old characters there in every book. When it comes to short stor [...]

    6. The best kind of bizarre you can get. Was unique in all of it's odd glory. I also appreciated that although this story is technically in the "paranormal" genre, it was still able to make a strong correlation to the everyday female. Highly recommend!

    7. I really enjoyed this collection of four stories. It was a pleasant surprise that each book was longer than a short story. Each dark story connected with Book One. Even though the collection was dark, I was never scared. I did feel bad for the characters though. Each had a sad backstory. The Blacksmith (Book One)The opening line of "A baby bird feel" gave me chills. The way the main character Ainsley described this made me aware she was depressed and lost. This story was written in her first pers [...]

    8. Review in two parts Thank you to NetGalley and the publishers for a chance to read this book in exchange for an honest review.Publish date: October 2015Full review can also be found on: Paein and Ms4Tune’s Book BlogThe BlacksmithThis was fascinating to read and that little bit at the end there was somewhat surprising, but I liked it. The story is told in first person from Ainsleys point of view. It's hard to know if we're meant to be cheering for her or not, she's had a bad time of it andher s [...]

    9. I received a copy of this story from Net Galley. Yay books!Spoilers possible aheadBook 1- The BlacksmithUmmwow, that's not what I was expecting. Poor Sam, it seemed that everything was fixing to go right for him, only to have the women he loved be insane and kill herself. Yes, it was so she wouldn't kill him, but still. Book 2- JessieThe blacksmith is in this one too?Is it the same one, because creepy.I feel really bad for the blacksmith. What happened to him? He didn't seem so bad at the beginn [...]

    10. Received from NetGalley for review.2.5 starsTales from the Graveyard is a collection of short stories by Susan Shultz. They all focus on a New England house where terrible things have happened, and keep happening – a historical house of horror that has been continually filled with abuse, betrayal, and murder. We are introduced to a series of characters that have recurring roles throughout the stories: The Blacksmith, Jessie, Ainsley, and Sam. They each have their own story, which is told acros [...]

    11. *ARC REVIEW FROM NETGALLEY*Susan Shultz hauntingly tales is the perfect book to pick up during the Halloween season. The Blacksmith (story 1)The Blacksmith is a dark and alluring tale. The way it weaves its story, it grabs you, won't let you go. Ainsley, the librarian, the keeper of the cemetery, has a dark secret, one she can't tell. The Blacksmith helps her, he's the only one who is there for her. If only she could let Sam in, but that isn't possible. He wouldn't understand. I really enjoyed t [...]

    12. I received this collection of books from netgalley. I was looking for a thrilling book and these definitely are.At first I didn't like the way the book was written or how Ainsley thought/spoke. But the deeper I got into the story, I found that it added perfectly to the craziness. I had so many chills running through my body as I continued to read. I loved it and was even surprised by the ending of the first book. The second book wasn't as chilling but sad, yet I loved it just as much. I guessed w [...]

    13. A silent Blacksmith is the element that links all 4 of the short stories in this book together. In the first, Ainsley is our narrator, a middle-aged woman who has been in love with her best friend for years and whose ex-husband cast her aside when she couldn't have children. The ghostly Blacksmith encourages her to be a monster. In the second, a young woman named Jessie narrates the story. The Blacksmith is her lover and with whom she has a child. Jessie has been psychologically abused by her moth [...]

    14. I just, I don’t even really know what to say. This was a compilation of all four short stories written by Susan Shultz. This is the first material I have ever read by this author, and I believe she is a contender in the horror scene. Each story was a little bit tender, incredibly sad, and absolutely horrific. Though, all four stories tie really well together and honestly you can’t have one without the others; I have to say book four: Sam was my favorite. I was both horrified and heartbroken [...]

    15. This anthology contains 4 short stories that all center around the same house at different points in time. The first story "The Blacksmith" Has little to do with the actual Blacksmith and more to do with a serial killer. It was ok but nothing spectacular. If rated separately I would give it 3 and a half stars. The second "Jessie" about an unloved, neglected, and abused wife who basically lives like a slave and eventually gets her revenge was much more substantial. It was sad and spooky, creepy and [...]

    16. A pleasant little New England town, a house on a hill and a garden decorated with gravestones. The house has survived many occupants. Those who died there never leave. They just watch, and wait… Meet Ainsly, Jessie, Sam, The Blacksmith and Lila. This is their story.I read part 1 of the series (The Blacksmith) in December 2014 and absolutely loved the dark, disturbing and twisted tale. So, naturally, when I saw the opportunity to read the entire series at once I went for it. I was not disappoin [...]

    17. REVIEW:I requested this group of stories without realizing I had previously read The Blacksmith and throughly enjoyed it. The whole lot of stories reminded me of the old, eerie stories of love, sacrifice, cruelty, mean people who get what they deserve after attempting to break a good person. Stories like the ones presented in this collection are what I like to call "Old Fashioned Scary Stories" with a lot of mental torture and anguish that will spook the reader to the core. I liked that the char [...]

    18. I received this as an arc from net galley in exchange for an honest review. In a graveyard in a little new England town, there is a house on a hill. It's garden is decorated with gravestones. The house has stood for ages now, and occupants have come and gone. But those who died there never leave. They just watch and wait. Wow. Absolutely fantastic read. I could not put it down. I knew from page one it would be hard to put down. Read in 2 settings. I loved the story and the characters. I loved al [...]

    19. This is a very disturbing and unsettling collection of short stories great for Halloween. The stories evolve through a house on a hill with a graveyard. But this is not an ordinary graveyard. And the occupants of the house are not what they seem. This is a psychological thriller, not for everyone with a week heart and stomach. The first tale is full of gore, so maybe this can be a stop reading kind of situation. But the stories are well written and engaging. Note: I received a copy free from Netg [...]

    20. ARC Kindly recieved via Net Galley in exchange for an honest review.Sadly, this one was a DNF for me. The blurb for this book sounded intriguing so I was interested in reading something different for a change. I couldn't bring myself to finish the book however. The writing style is too choppy for me and I just couldn't get involved in the stories. I thought maybe it was just the first book in the collection but when it carried onto the next, I just couldn't make myself push forward too much into [...]

    21. Book received from NetGalley in exchange for honest review I'm sorry, no disrespect to the author, but this book was justbad. It was suppose to be four short horror stories joined by a common theme. I found all four to be confusing, boring, annoying and uneventful. None of the characters were likeable, there was really no plot to follow/enjoy, and I was not scared by the 'horror' at all.Lets just say by the end of reading I was glad I had gotten it for free, because if I had of paid money for th [...]

    22. When I got this book from Netgalley, I was very excited. I was not as impressed as I thought I would be. These are 4 short stories they relate to each other but I guess I was not that into them. They fell short for me. I am glad the stories connected with each other. I will say that was a plus for this collection. The stories just didn't grab me like I thought they would. * I received this book form Netgalley in exchange for an honest review*

    23. I read this right after halloween and thought they were alright reads. I found that they weren't spooky or scary like I wanted. They were just weird. There was something in each story that I found annoying and overall I did not find the reads enjoyable. Simple put they are bland.Sorry. Now on to the next. Please Check out my website for more book reviews and giveaways!

    24. Tales From the Graveyard, while well written, was not a collection that I could enjoy.I'd tried to give it a chance multiple times, but I just couldn't find myself wrapped up in the story line I am sorry to say.I received this copy from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

    25. I received this book from net galley in exchange forAn honest review. This book contains 4 short stories. Frankly I thought they were all strange. It was not my favorite book. Not only was the main character bat sh*t crazy parts of it I was scratching my head and thinking um ok? They weren't scary just weird and a little disturbing. It was a fast read and I did finish it fast.

    26. REVIEW: TALES FROM THE GRAVEYARD by Susan SchultzI loved the subtlety of horror in these tales. Each individual tale is a story in itself, leading up to a fine denouement; and the collection also builds upon itself, creating a seamlessness of impending, then realized, horror. I would gladly read any work from this fine author.

    27. I thought after reading good reviews on about this I'd enjoy this one but I didn't. (view spoiler)[ I started with the blacksmith but I cannot simply enjoy cannibalism no matter what! (hide spoiler)] DNF

    28. This was the best book I've read for Halloween. Thanks to the Full Fathom Five Publishing I will be doing a review on my BookTube channel and I will link the video here once it is posted.b youtube/watch?v=kpE_p

    29. I found this book more for the younger generation . It wasn't a bad book but I didn't find it to be about horror and didn't really enjoy it . I recieved a copy of this courtesy of Netgalley and I give this book 3 stars
