    1. What happens when forever friends lose track of one another? After living on the same island, living next door to one another, going to school with one another, being playmates and classmates, nursed each other through bad dates and lost count of just how many sunrises you’ve seen together, how could that be? Well, when it came time for Ginger Atkinson and Carter Ridley to go off to college that is exactly what did happen. Ginger had dreams of being a teacher and Carter a famous writer. But th [...]

    2. DNF @ 56%, page 162 This was a free read and listen so I'm glad I didn't spend money on either one.I’m not sure about this book. At 52% I was wondering if anything was really going to happen. Carter came home to see about his pregnant sister and sees Ginger after a number of years, after being her best friend when they were little and all the way up to their teens. Now he’s a grumpy and angry man because he’s divorced and Ginger is trying to help him get over his feelings and try to be hap [...]

    3. I received an ARC of this book from Netgalley for an honest review. If you like a book that contains great characters, its heartfelt, childhood friendships, low self esteem & trust issues, its romantic and has plenty of humour - then this is definitely a book for you. This story revolves around Ginger - she returned home after the death of her father to run his boat business and she loves it. The only downside for her is that she can never seem to find love and she feels inadequate as a woman. [...]

I have loved her Turtle Island Novel series, and On the Rocks is an outstanding addition to this amazing series. 5. On The Rocks is the third book in a series.Ginger moved back home to take over her Dad's business after he died. The only problem is she can't find a decent man to date. Everyone else has found their true love, got married and had children. Ginger is beginning to think there is something wrong with her. Until Carter her old friend returns.Carter only came back to check on his pregnant Sister and get his head together after his marriage failed. 6. I received an Arc for an honest review.Ginger is not a girly girl she is running a bat charter business on the island and is still single, while her friends are all married now. This is a tough time for her and she is trying to make the next step in life. Carter is divorced after a huge discovery, and he was coerced by his parents to come back to Turtle Island to help his sister. He is not in a good place in his life. This is a light story about two people who were friends forever and lost touch [...]

    7. I absolutely fell in love with Carter and Ginger and Turtle Island! I love a book that I can completely immerse myself in and forget everyday life for just a little while, and On the Rocks did just that!I loved Carter and Ginger’s story. I am a sucker for a good friends to lovers story, and this one has to be one of my favorites. Both Carter and Ginger grew up on the island and were friends growing up. 8. Kim Law continues her Turtle Island series with a story of love and second chances. This third installment, On The Rocks, will let you experience the character’s emotions as if they were your own. Ms. Law did an awesome job bring an equal amount of humor, heartfelt scenes and even added a little more heat than usual.Ginger and Carter lived next door to each other and they shared a special friendship when they were kids. Unfortunately, they had completely lost touch until eons later finding the [...]

    9. 3.50This is the third book in this series by Law and while I enjoyed getting to know these characters all over again I did feel like something was missing from this story. Ginger moved back home to take care of her fathers business after he passed but the problem is that she can't find a decent date. While everyone is falling in love, having weddings and babies she is beginning to feel like something is wrong with her until her old friend Carter returns. Carter is only supposed to be returning t [...]

    13. I hadn't read the earlier books and sometimes you can feel a little lost at the beginning of book in a series, as characters are glossed over somewhat. This was not the case with this book, each character coming to life under the skilful writing of Kim Law. I enjoyed the story very much and shall look for other books by Law.

    14. RomanticEnjoyed reading Ginger and Carter's love story. The way Ginger's experience in the love department iis told breaks your heart. I enjoyed the way this story came to an end I love Kim Law's books.

    15. Excellent readI really enjoyed these books. They made me laugh multiple times, made me sad, but I was able to relate to them all.

    16. I really enjoyed this book, with its cheerful, tomboy heroine and grumpy, secretive author hero. It’s sweet and fun with the right touch of heat, romance and heartache, all wrapped up with some beautiful sunsets and a perfect-sounding house.Ginger is great. She’s a woman who had all her life plans upended when her father died, but discovered that actually she really loves running the boat business – even if she does end up smelling of fish more days than not. She’s upbeat and friendly, w [...]

    18. I had the opportunity to read and review Montana Cherries for this author and thoroughly enjoyed it, so I was thrilled when another opportunity presented itself. I enjoyed the depth and backstories of the previous book and this one did not disappoint either. This was my first book to read in her Turtle Island series, but that took nothing away from this story besides the need to go back and catch up on the missed love stories I got to catch a glimpse of throughout this story. I enjoyed the inter [...]

    19. This story is about two friends: Ginger Atkinson and Carter Ridley. Both grew up on Turtle Island and were the best of friends. They would hang out and watch the sunrises, talk about their days, their dreams and wishes. They would also talk about their futures. As time went on they grew up and went to college in different places. They lost touch.Today Ginger finds herself back on Turtle Island owning her own business and living with her mother since her dad passed away. She is pretty down on her [...]

    21. 4.5 Stars - This was the first book I read in the Turtle Island series, and it can certainly be read as a standalone. I didn’t feel like I missed anything by not reading the two prior books. This book is sort of a falling in love with the boy next door, friends-to-lovers kind of book.Ginger has watched her two best friends meet the men of their dreams, go off, get married, and start their families. Ginger wants that life too and is beginning to wonder if it will ever happen for her. While she h [...]

    22. So worth the wait! It feels like such a long time since the last Turtle Island novel was released, and I'm so glad to be back visiting with these characters on this little island. We were introduced to Ginger Atkinson in the previous Turtle Island novels Ex on the Beach and Hot Buttered Yum. She is one of the three best friends that this series is centered around, and finally it is Ginger's turn to find her man. She's always been a bit of a tomboy and has been running her father's boating compan [...]

    23. I was provided an ARC by the author for an honest review.Kim Law continues the Turtle Island series with this emotional read. Her writing style is amazing. It’s the kind of book you hate to put down but sometimes have to so you can get some sleep and function the next day! There is a time gap between this book and the last but any relevant event is explained and flows well. I can’t wait for the next one and this one is just released!Ginger came back home to run the family business after her [...]

    24. Playful and Fun!Kim Law's newest book, "On the Rocks" is definitely one of the best books she's ever written.Carter Ridley is definitely the best male character, Law has ever created with JP from her book, "Caught on Camera" being 2nd in my opinion.I have read all of Kim Law's books and they always deliver. They are out loud funny with witty dialogue, the characters are always so vividly real and you feel like you are right there with the characters. And at times, they make you cry. This book can [...]

    26. Both Carter and Ginger have some growing to do and time spent together helps them find their way again. The future Ginger expected hasn’t shown up yet and she’s getting a little desperate. Her thirtieth birthday is here and she’s always expected to be married with kids by now. But the more unsuccessful dates she goes on the harder she tries, which unfortunately doesn’t help. In an attempt to get a relationship to stick, she’s forgotten to be true to herself. Carter is coming out of a v [...]

    28. This book was sent to me from Netgalley. this book has both Ginger's and Carter's pov's, which made it an enjoyable read. Ginger is on the hunt to find somebody she can settle down with. Having turned 30, Ginger is feeling sad and frustrated that she can't seem to reach the second date the majority of the time. She feels that there is something wrong with her to keep the men away. Her childhood friend and crush, Carter returns home to check on his pregnant baby sister. Dealing with writer's bloc [...]

    29. 5 STARS!On the Rocks was my first novel by Kim Law and I was pleasantly surprised with how much I enjoyed it. I, generally, enjoy a decent romance, but this one rose above others within this genre that tend to get tedious and unoriginal. On the Rocks is a friends to lovers crossed with an unrequited love/childhood crush romance. This is the third book in the series, but stands alone nicely. Simply put, Ginger and Carter are childhood/teenage friends whom reacquaint after many years. Carter, recen [...]
