    2. This is a well-researched novella that makes the reader see and feel France from the eyes of a student. It's not the type of book I typically read, but it held my interest. The author's descriptive language is concise. She gets the point across without endless paragraphs that make you want to think about something else as you read.I enjoyed the story, and if this were my preferred genre, I would want to buy the rest of the books in the series.Sophia Martin is an author to watch.

    3. A charming little short. Obviously a prelude to something bigger, and it does make you want to run out and read the next.

This is a delightful of fish-out-of-water, getting to know a different culture, coming-of-age piece as Veronica meets new people, both French and other foreigners as well as the many new growing experiences along the way. Veronica is a delightful viewpoint to follow around, her friends are wonderfully realistic, and you can sympathize with her as she has ups and downs of falling in love, to not wanting to hurt her new friends, to trying to fit in with Paris (even though everything she wants to d [...]
