    1. Terrific read!Mr. Zot has really done his homework. If you'd like to know the science behind intermmident fasting this book will have the answers. Beginning with some historical references to fasting and ending with his own experiences Mr. Zot completely covers the issues. Well referenced also. He doesn't give you your personal menu because it should be more personalised than an author telling you what's right for yourself. Mr Zot comes across as a very honest writer not trying to impose his vie [...]

    2. Profoundly Interesting and provoking! A thoughtful book about a subject much needed. I am definitely going to examine this one, vegan style. Fasting and intermittent fasting.

    3. Knowing why and how periodic and intermittent fasting works, this is your book. This book is heavy in actual studies with a few anecdotes. If you like solid research to back up your health and weight choices, this is perfect. If you prefer a lot of rah rah hype, look elsewhere. I like finding out why simply lowering calories fails and what to do instead. AUTOPHAGY is explained and the anti- cancer aspects of fasting are compelling. Conquering jet lag with fasting interests me because traveling fr [...]

    4. Such a good book. Read it people. Even if you don't need to loos weight. Fasting is amazing tool for healthy lifestyle.

    5. This book is an incredibly rich resource with a huge number of annotations so that the reader can confirm all of the information provided. The author has gone to a great deal of trouble researching nutrition from a maximum health/maximum lifespan goal orientation and clearly states when he thinks the research he uncovered has a broad basis that may help most people verses how his personal body genetics respond better or worse to the protocols derived from the research he studied. If you want to [...]

    6. Excellent info if you have CancerHard science but so worth it. An in depth study on fasting throughout history. Lot's of studies sighted proving how necessary it is to have better health, longer life and get rid of many chronic illnesses. AND a way to do it without all the hunger and headaches. I recently did a four day fast with no discomfiture. It was my first ever and I felt like just going. This was because I had given up sugar, starches and grains gradually. Now I eat from 10 am to 6 pm. In [...]

    7. Intermittent Fasting is easy! This book has been very helpful for my IF experiment. I've gone two days now with only supper, and am considering extending indefinitely with an additional annual water-only fast perhaps later in the year per Dr. Seyfried's 7-10 day anti-cancer recommendation. I forgot to mention that I've been keto-adapted since May'14, so maybe I can start the clock on a daily IF protocol on top of that!

    8. The book is very detailed and goes over a great number of studies (probably as many as there are on the subject) and enlists the numerous benefits of both intermittent and prolonged fasting in great detail, showing the results of these studies and also he's personal experience in the field. The author has clearly done his homework on the subject!

    9. If you want to know the science behind water fasting then this is a great book for you. For me, it was too much detail on the studies & I got bored & skimmed through some of it. It is not a book to really help you water fast, but gives you tips on what you can do. Water fasting seems extremely hard & I don't know if I would do it.

    10. Excellent primerA very thorough discussion of long term fasting and intermittent fasting. I appreciate the time it's taken to gather and study all the documents referenced in this book. The conclusions seem sound and scientifically supported, I'm ready to experiment on my own fasts

    11. Clearly self-published and desperate for an editor. Sometimes painful reading. Some good information, probably a lot if you're into heavy-duty fasting. Might have inspired me to try a 3-day water fast. Or not.

    12. Excellent discourse on fastingThough technical in its discussions, I found this book very helpful in my efforts to get healthier. Great tips and questions answered at the end.

    13. Author goes in detail about Biology stuff. A lot of names of hormones and processes. Basically he says Keto+IFM+Weight training. At the end he give some insights in the protocol he uses.

    14. The best thing about this was that it was a good source of fasting information for those on a Ketogenic diet. The worst thing about it was that the author really needs to proofread.
