    1. When Love Returns is the third and final book in the Zimmerman Restoration trilogy by Kim Vogel Sawyer. I was so excited to read the last book in the series! But it didn't feel like it was finished because of the daughter. Her story didn't seem to be completely told. Maybe there's going to be a spin-off of this trilogy? Suzanne Zimmerman has moved back home, and right away is faced with the struggle of being around her birth daughter without being able to acknowledge her as her own. As she learn [...]

    2. Kim Vogel Sawyer in her new book “When Love Returns” Book Three in The Zimmerman Restoration Trilogy published by Waterbrook Press continues the story of Alexa Zimmerman. From the back cover: Riddled with doubt and lingering regrets, will Suzanne and Paul find strength in God to explore a second chance at love? It wasn’t easy to move back to the Old Order Mennonite community from which quiet, responsible Suzanne Zimmerman was shamefully sent away as a pregnant teen. Returning twenty years l [...]

    3. This concludes The Zimmerman Restoration series. I really enjoyed it. I am a big fan of this author. I always feel satisfaction when I finish one of her stories. I also feel encouraged and blessed. Her stories are always hopeful with wonderful developed characters. From the first book in the series to the last there is a steady flow that kept me entertained and turning each page with anticipation. I would recommend to anyone who enjoys good clean fiction.

    4. Stunning conclusion to The Zimmerman Restoration trilogy but, unlike the first two books, I really think When Love Returns will make more of an impact if you've read When Mercy Rains and When Grace Sings first. This is a beautiful second chance love story with plenty of grit and emotional angst to leave a reader breathless. Suzanne and Paul have waited two decades to be reunited and there is all the delicious uncertainty, not to mention mistakes from their past, to over come. A lot for a romance [...]

    5. When Love Returns is an emotionally charged, wonderful ending to the Zimmerman Restoration Trilogy. I have enjoyed all three of the books in this series. These stories really do depend on each other. So, I would recommend reading them in order.I loved the way the author handled the complicated issues in this book. My favorite story line was the one that played out between Suzanne and Paul, especially as I have been desperately wanting to see what would happen between them since book one. It was [...]

    6. MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BOOKI really loved this book, and this entire series. I would recommend reading the first two books in the series before you read this one. I grew to love this family and these characters. The tension in this book is pretty thick at times, because of the situation with the adoptions, with Anna Grace not knowing that her real parents are right there in front of her, and Alexia wanting to find her real mom. It keeps you reading and not wanting to stop. I highly recommend this b [...]

    7. Love, love, love this trilogy. This was the final book but I could have gone on and on with these families. I feel attached and don’t want to leave them. There are a lot of “I wonder what happens to’s” I will miss them. P.S. recommend reading the trilogy in order.

    8. When Love Returns by Kim Vogel Sawyer is the third book in the Zimmerman Restoration Trilogy. Cynthia Allgood had a baby when she was a teenager. The day after she gave birth she left the baby behind the Indianapolis Home for Unwed Mothers. Twenty years later her husband is giving her the opportunity to find her daughter. He has put down a retainer on Owen Mallory, a private investigator. Will finding her daughter be a good thing for Cynthia?Alexa Zimmerman is enjoying life in Arborville, Kansas [...]

    9. About the Book:Riddled with doubt and lingering regrets, will Suzanne and Paul find strength in God to explore a second chance at love? It wasn’t easy to move back to the Old Order Mennonite community from which quiet, responsible Suzanne Zimmerman was shamefully sent away as a pregnant teen. Returning twenty years later to take care of her mother, Suzanne and Alexa—the daughter she raised as her own—have spent months rebuilding relationships with her family. Now with the upcoming wedding [...]

    10. This book, 3rd installment of THE ZIMMERMAN RESTORATION TRILOGY is the continuing story of Alexa Zimmerman. The author wroth a wonderful book about faith, forgiveness and family. I found myself turning the pages as fast as I could. I didn't read the first two books, but plan to. The introduction of characters and background are in those books. In book 3, new characters are introduced. The first book is WHEN MERCY RAINS and the second is WHEN GRACE SINGS.The reader follows the lives of the Zimmer [...]

    11. This is the third book in the author's 'Restoration Series'. I read Book Two and enjoyed it very much. Chapter One of this book is a little confusing until facts from the past stories are presented to bring readers up to date. There are two major storylines in this book. One involves Suzanne Zimmerman, a single mother of an adult daughter, in her late thirties who was raised in an Old Order Mennonite community in Kansas. The other storyline involves a married mother of two, Cynthia Algood, who li [...]

    12. I liked this book. It was ok. I've read some books by Kim that were better than this. To me, it just kept going on and on and not getting anywhere. I can however; relate to this story somewhat. I too want to find my birth mom but, only if it's God's will. In my most recent search I found I two other sisters all of us were by different dads. I felt like I would have suffocated not being able to tell my real daughter who I was and her living that close to me. It was mean of Suzannes mother to do t [...]

    13. It's been quite awhile since I've had the pleasure of reading a story by Kim Vogel Sawyer. Ms. Sawyer pens an absolutely beautiful story in When Love Returns. This is the third and final book in The Zimmerman Restoration Trilogy. I loved this trilogy. When Mercy Rains, When Grace Sings and When Love Returns. One must read these books in order. Each book picks up where the other one left off. So, yes, it's a must to read them in order.Twenty years later Suzanne Zimmerman returns to the Old Order Men [...]

    14. WHEN LOVE RETURNS by Kim Vogel Sawyer, is the third and final novel of The Zimmerman Restoration Trilogy. I had read the two previous ones and was delighted to be able to read this final one. I was somewhat disappointed at the ending of the second one, not realizing at the time there would be a third one to follow.I don't like to give too much away in my reviews and ruin the story for others so therefore I have a dilemma in writing this. It is difficult to pick up at the beginning of this book w [...]

    15. This review is also posted on Book by Book. The third book in Kim Vogel Sawyer’s Zimmerman Restoration trilogy, When Love Returns picks up after the events of When Mercy Rains and When Grace Sings. (I would highly recommend that interested readers start reading at the beginning to the series in order to understand both character development and references to previous events.) It offers the perfect continuation to the series, revisiting now-familiar and beloved characters and satisfactorily tyin [...]

    16. Kim Sawyer is one talented author. If you have not read one of her books you should. Her series "The Zimmerman Restoration" has a wonderful ending. You can check out my reviews to "When Mercy Rains" and "When Grace Sings". Well, "When Love Returns" starts out a little tension with Suzanne and Alexa. They are celebrating Christmas with all the family. Alexa wants to find her birth mother. When Alexa tells her mom Suzanne. Suzanne is a little unsure and startled by her daughter. Suzanne learns tha [...]

    17. Suzanne finally settled in with Alexa in her mom’s house. With Paul so close to her when another waves of discovery hits her way, she has to lean on his shoulder. Yet the old fire rekindled again, and she longed to be accepted by her community and re-established as the believer, yet it will reveal the father of her child. As days pass on, her child is caming to plan the wedding with her, and Sue’s heart aches for “mother” to be spoken from the lips of her daughter… Yet those wishes are [...]

    18. When Love Returns is a beautiful conclusion to a compelling series! The third and final book in the Zimmerman Restoration Trilogy, this novel continues the emotional story that began in Book 1, When Mercy Rains. Because of the family history that runs through this trilogy, I recommend reading these books in order.Once again, Kim Vogel Sawyer envelops readers in the lives of the Zimmerman family. Their story is told from multiple points of view, and I really enjoy this type of storytelling. I del [...]

    19. This is the third book in the Zimmerman Trilogy. I would recommend reading the first two books prior to reading this one as they all tie in together. This is a great book dealing with adoption, forgiveness and accepting changes. Suzanne returns to the Old Order Mennonite community that she left 20 years ago with the daughter she has raised alone for 20 years. Will they be accepted into the community once Suzanne's past is discovered? Alexa was given up at birth as was Anna-Grace, one wishes to f [...]

    20. This is the third book in The Zimmerman Trilogy and it is top notch in my book. I recommend you read the previous books, as everything is tied together in this book. i was sad to see it end, as i loved the plot, the characters, and the movement of the story. Kim is an excellent author, who weaves an intricate story that keeps you wanting more. i love how real her characters are and the way faith, forgiveness, and restoration are shown. The mercy and grace of Christ is an important part of this s [...]

    21. Kim Vogel Sawyer does not fail. "When Love Returns" Book 3 and the final book of the Zimmerman Restoration Trilogy is a fabulous end to the series! The book wraps up questions one may have throughout reading the books and ends with love, inspiration and most of all hope. I highly recommend the Zimmerman Restoration Trilogy and any of Ms. Sawyer’s books, particularly, if you love spiritual, inspirational and motivating books. This conclusive book to the Zimmerman Trilogy does not disappoint! Ms [...]

    22. Great ending to a great trilogy. I had a hard time putting this book down. Remember that these need to be read in order or you won't know what is really happening and who the characters are. The moms and daughters are well written. You want everything to be a happy ending. Some people may not like the subject matter which is about unwed mothers and adoption. The whole trilogy is well written and hard to put down I received this book from blogging for books for a fair and honest opinion.

    23. When Love Returns is the third book in The Zimmerman Restoration series by Kim Vogel Sawyer. Kim did not disappoint with this book. Many turn of events take place and many new memories happen in this book. Alexa decides to search for her birth mother who left her in a cardboard box outside of a garage. Suzanne struggles with the fear of losing Alexa and working along side her daughter she gave up (who also has no idea that Suzanne is her mom) for adoption. A delightful story of new beginnings.

    24. Brilliant as Always! This trilogy is one of my favorites by any Christian author. The Zimmerman family is portrayed as a real life family with all the emotions and challenges written so beautifully and descriptively. I love the way they come together in each of the stories and how the characters model for us how we can pull together in all circumstances and love one another through all the seasons in our lives.

    25. When Love Returns is the third, and sadly the last installment of the Zimmerman Restoration Trilogy. I cannot tell you how much I enjoyed getting to know this family. In this book, a reader will get their questions answered they may had from the first two books of trilogy. Like any other book written by the talented Kim Vogel Sawyer, I highly recommend this one. Fabulous conclusion to the trilogy. 5 plus stars!

    26. I'm so glad that I found this series of books. Kim Vogel Sawyer is a wonderful author. She is definitely in my top five. These books took me on wonderful journey of love, the power of forgiveness, and restoration. I would recommend these to anyone. This is a series wouldn't reading over and over. I was sad when I the series ended.

    27. Story of failures and forgiveness, and how God can use anything for good. Very touching, and a topic handled better than I expected. I DID get confused about relationships, though. Because the story is told in short bursts focused on different characters, it was hard for me to keep the family members straight. Very good story.

    28. Excellent novel on love, forgiveness, and family. My eyes were opened on what birth mother's go through on giving up their children for adoption and facing them years later. This novel is the conclusion of a trilogy but can be read as a stand alone just fine. I want to thank First-reads for my copy of this book for my honest opinion.
