    1. Years ago, a Goad fan/stalker (too pathetic to be mentioned in the book) befriended then bothered me. He told me that he was in contact with one of the book's subjects, and s/he was stalking me too. Yikes! Jim is one of the most polite, even-keeled people I've ever met. His mental stability must set off the psychopaths who are drawn to him.
