    1. It strikes me that, while in later Oppen there is doubt as to the poem's objectification (cf. Sincerity and Objectification (Zukofsky) and Spring and All (Williams) where it's called reality of poem) (I think Silliman makes this argument in The New Sentence), in Bronk there is a conviction about processes of objectification. This is just a different spiritual position.Some of these poems are really imperfect. Others, nearer the beginning, so welcome.

    2. I learned about Bronk in Ben Lerner's 10:04. Existing somewhere in the same vicinity as Wallace Stevens and Ashbery, Bronk's poems are yet simpler in diction and use more straightforward imagery. It is remarkable stuff.
