    1. It was a struggle to finish this book. Unlike the earlier installments in the series, this one just wasn't cutting it for me most of the time. The characters were too whiney. Plot points were predictable. Each chapter is like an episode with same formula: things start out well intentioned only to go bad. How many times can you read different scenarios take the same turn over and over again and still be entertained by it?Anyway there was promise towards the end genuine conflict and conflict resol [...]

    2. I loved the first book in this series but it's been a steady downhill slide since then. This book was only vaguely entertaining. There were definitely parts that made me chuckle but in general the book just felt repetitive. How many times can ridiculous things happen to the same people?

    3. This one was a bit more of a drag than the previous two but still had that typical Nick Spalding laugh out loud moments.

    4. Thoroughly enjoyed the love series by Nick Spalding, this was a great finale for the trilogy. Once again filled with lots of fun and frolics.

    5. Did it againAnother laugh out loud book! Honestly love reading your collection, they never fail to make me smile and laugh. I would highly recommend this whole series of books by Nick Spalding.

    6. Spalding continues to deliver laughs that everyone can relate to. I know these books are a bit formulaic but they're still hysterically funny and there's something for everyone in them. I'm looking forward to reading his next one. This volume follows the Newman clan to Australia and chronicles their adventures down under. From disappointing travel outings to poop in plastic wrap, you'll laugh and despair for them as they live their new lives.

    7. Love… Under Different Skies is the story of Jamie and Laura Newman, and their three year old daughter, Poppy. Written, alternately, from the point of view Jamie as a blog and Laura as a diary entry to her mum, it gives a realistic insight in to how situations are viewed differently from the male and female psyche. Having moved to Australia the traditional roles are reversed and Laura becomes the breadwinner which, eventually, begins to irritate them both for different reasons. Their relationsh [...]

    8. Having thoroughly enjoyed Nick Spalding’s previous novels, I was very excited about Love…Under Different Skies. We meet up again with Jamie and Laura in Love…Under Different Skies, where they find themselves facing a big change. When Jamie’s meltdown at work ends with him being handed his P45, and Laura isn’t having that much luck either, they long for something new. And when Laura is offered a new job in Australia, they jump at the chance! But as they soon learn, their problems have a [...]

    9. I have read all the Jamie and Laura books thus far and I have to say that this one was ok, but only just ok, it was my least favourite of the series. As an Aussie who is very familiar with the places that the Newmans mostly stayed at, e.g. Brisbane and the Gold Coast, I was rolling my eyes at yet another description of how scary the animals in Australia are and how everything is out to get unsuspecting non-Aussies etc, which seems to be a typical perception of the British in particular. There wa [...]

    10. This final book in the Love Trilogy by Nick Spalding was a little bit like Jamie describes in the book that Vegemite is - good but not the same as marmite and upon reflection of all 3 books I would describe the first two as marmite and the third as Vegemite. In this third instalment of the lives of Jamie & Laura Newman we find them emigrating to Australia where they find themselves living on the Gold Coast living every Australian cliche imaginable. It is a good book which has some great situat [...]

    11. This is a laugh out loud story told through the diary and the blog of an English couple whose dissatisfaction and loss of jobs results in a new start in Australia. Filled with the exaggerations of Jamie (the husband) and the conversational notes to a dead mother from Laura (the wife) we see how their lives roller coaster over the course of 14 months. I laughed a lot particularly at Jamie's blog entries because of bombastic descriptions of events and his feelings. This is NOT a traditional romance [...]

    12. I was very happy to win a copy if this book from ' giveaway program. "Love Under Different Skies" was a humorous story that followed married couple Laura and Jamie when they accepted a job that required them to move to Australia.  Told through the perspectives of both Laura and Jamie, the author was able to make their differing observations part of the fun!  I really liked the way that Jamie described things, which brought humor to common situations.  His observations were made funnier becaus [...]

    13. Ahh Nick Spalding. I have loved every novel he has written starring Jaime and Laura Newman. Seriously if you want to laugh so hard you have milk/soda/tea spilling out of your nose start reading the first two books in the series, "Love From Both Sides" and "Love and Sleepless Nights". You get to see how Jaime and Laura first met and became man and wife and then follow them through the birth of their first child Poppy. With "Love Under Different Skies" you have Jaime and Laura coming to an impasse [...]

    14. Love Under Different Skies is set in both Laura and Jamie's point of views, Laura's point of view is in the form of a diary whereas Jamie's is set out in a blog form. From the very first point of view, I was enthralled by the new storyline for these amazing characters and the humorous lives that they lead. Laura and Jamie's lives changed in the last book when they had their daughter Poppy, but when Laura get a job in Australia they decide that maybe a change of scenery will be good for them. Tho [...]

    15. This is the third book in the series of Jaime and Laura's utterly over the top lives. In this installment of utter ridiculousness they're off to Australia since Laura gets a magnificent job offer that can't be refused. As with the previous two books, Laura and Jaime cannot possibly have this many stupid, crude, mortifying things happen in the course of a lifetime let alone a short span of months. It's simply not possible and overwhelms the small amount of heart in the novel. In addition, the sup [...]

    16. This was not the best out of the series, but it was still a nice read.I am Australian and just recently spent a month travelling in the UK so I could relate to this novel. Though being Australian I could also pick up any wrong details. I enjoyed this book as it took a different path which was nice, rather funny and had a nice ending.I did find myself becoming annoyed at Laura and Jamie. Their complaining and immaturity within their relationship annoyed me. Jamies obsession with wanking and such [...]

    17. I wasn't expecting to enjoy this book half as much as I did. It was bought for me as a gift and although it's not my usual genre, I'm always willing to give anything ago and there is nothing better than being pleasantly surprised. It was a very funny novel and romantic but in a realistic rather than overly sentimental way. Yes, there are a few events that require you to suspend disbelief but this is fiction and for the most parts those events are hilarious. On a side note, it turns out that this [...]

    18. LoveUnder Different SkiesI was very pleased to receive this book from .As it is set in Australia, it's obvious that the skies are going to be blue ones, which is just what I needed over this dark clouded holiday period. The book is very humorous and light, quick to read, and full of chuckles. You will recognise characters that you know, and as for the situations they find themselves inwell! Every time I am in the bathroom now, I can't help laughing at a particular dilemma Laura found herself in, a [...]

    19. Once again, Nick Spalding has kept me on the edge of my seat, laughing hysterically at the antics of my two fav Brits. Jamie and Laura have this amazing chemistry between the two of them, I love how the story bounces back and forth, and the narration for both characters allows for a completely seamless transition between the two of them as the story progresses. Over the course of the last year, I've worked my way through the audio of this series and am sorely disappointed to learn that the fourt [...]

    20. Obligatory note: Got my copy thru First Reads. This was a pretty solid work of contemporary fiction/chick-lit. Both the main characters are given their own voice and personality and left to develop in the reader’s mind as the story progresses. There are times when you feel for the out of work husband and times when you can’t help but agree with the wife, and I think that’s the greatest strength of the book. The reader is left to decide whose story you want to relate to the most, and I ended [...]

    21. This book is suitable if you're looking for:- A sequel to the Newman couple's adventure- Carefree, not committed reading- Laughters-An exposure to AustraliaOne-line summary: A little bit of everything- laughter, adventure, conflict, and romance. While the first book, 'Love from both sides' was hilarious, this book was funny but borderline trying-to-hard-to-be-sarcastically-funny. The author spent a big chunk of the book describing the couple's experience/adventure in a new country, which was exci [...]

    22. I bought the e-book after reading the 1st chapter (as sample) as it looked really interesting. Half-way through, I got tired of the couple's whiny behaviour and just wanted to chuck the book away (sorry, I don't find amusement in whiny people). I pretty much speed-read the rest just to see if it improved, towards the last 3 or so chapters, it did, but overall, it wasn't worth the time and money for me to have spent reading it. Also, the many spelling mistakes irked me tremendously; was this book [...]

    23. This book did not disappoint. Jamie continues writing his blog, and Laura continues to write in her journal as they travel with Poppy to Australia when Laura accepts an amazing job opportunity. What I love about the series is that, while wildly hilarious, it is a heartfelt look into the ups and downs of a relationship. Jamie and Laura have real doubts, worries, and anxieties about the many changes in their lives, but being able to find humor in the crazy situations in which they find themselves [...]

    24. I was really looking forward to this book and I regret to say i was disappointed. There was so much fighting between the couple. And not cute, witty banter, just two people being snarky and whiny. I thought the 'adventure" of Australia would be interesting to read, but the author ruined that by having every escapade be a misadventure. Even a dolphin meeting was ruined. After the "poop left on their host's counter" incident, I pretty much had enough. I flipped around and read snippets and the end [...]

    25. This doesn't disappoint. It was absolutely superb and if I could dish out more than 5 stars I happily would. Nick Spalding has delivered another well-written book that is truly hilarious but also covers the serious moments life brings.Jamie and Laura are a little older, but not much wiser, just as loveable as always and the situations they get themselves into are ridiculous yet not unrealistic. Poppy, now aged 3, brought some very amusing moments and herself was a great little character.I have a [...]

    26. When Jamie Newman loses his job at the newspaper his unhappy wife has to be the bread winner at the chocolate shop she hates. So when she's offered a high paid top level job at a chocolate company in Australia, they are both happy for the opportunity. Especially as their marriage isn't at its best at the moment. So they move to Australia. But it's not all perfect down under, either.Super light, superficial quick read. Nothing to write home about. I gave it 3 stars, but should have been 2.5. Not [...]

    27. I have read all the previous books in the series & I have to say, I love them all! I don't know if there will be a fourth book. If not, I'm going to miss Laura & Jamie's shenanigans. Like the other books, this book is written as journal entries both from Jamie & Laura. Reading both the male & female side of a marriage is hilarious & eye opening. Add to that their view of Australia & you've got another hit. No matter where they go, Laura Jamie & their daughter Poppy ar [...]

    28. First off, I love this series and hope there will be more.I only bought the first, Love From Both Sides because it was 99p and I'm very glad of that. It's a series that I genuinely adore and think the main characters are amazing.Having said that, this one fell (only very slightly) short for me. Where the previous two books in the series regularly had me laughing out loud or crying, this one just wasn't on the same level. I would still recommend it to everyone and obviously enjoyed it as I've giv [...]
