    1. The PosseBy Tawdra KandleI was give this book to read and review. I rated Five Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️I fell in love with this book because the characters are mature and funny. Ms Kandle has created a heartwarming storyline. The dialogue is hilarious, witty, engaging and fascinating. I felt like I knew who Jude would end up with because Tawdra left little clues here and there. It was amusing to read each man step up and make their play for her. They were awkward, funny and of course [...]

    2. What an amazing story! I loved Tawdra Kandle's King Series and was surprised when I learned that she was going to write a contemporary romance novel. This story will have you thinking about you would expect to happen to you if your significant other passed away. Jude's husband Daniel, a man that she loved from childhood and had never thought to see anyone else as a potential suitor, died of cancer a year before this book takes place. These two were your picture of to people who were always meant [...]

    3. I liked this a lot. We don't get enough romances about people in love in their 40's so this was nice. There was little drama in this story, for which I am glad not that there weren't many occasions for this, but sometimes you just want an evenly paced romance.Jude is a widow and a year after her husband's death his best friends (aka the Posse) are concerned that she might meet someone and move away so they make a pact to see if she might fall in love with one of them so that she'll stay and beca [...]

    4. The PosseBy: Tawdra KandleJude is still hurting a year after her husband Daniel died. Her business and her college aged kids are helping her to keep everything together. She's not looking for much, she just wants to enjoy her off time and keep on her schedule. The Posse have been friends forever, and are as close as brothers. They feel the loss of Daniel and want to make sure that Jude is taken care of. But is a new love in the form of one of the bachelors what Jude needs? As life twists and turns [...]

    5. DNF after 75%+ of book read.I just couldn't raise enough interest in this book to finish it right now. Will put it back into my stack of "To Be Read" pile. The story was ok until about 75% point of book and then it pretty much jumped the shark, as far as I am concerned. Some aspects of characters and plot just seem so.ntrived, for the lack of a better word.Sad that this book went the way it did. held so much promise at the beginning.

    6. I want to say this is one of the best books I have read in a long timeIt hit all of my emotions at different parts of the book. You know when our girl is getting into a really good kiss and when our guy does something really romantic or says just the right thing at just the right moment your going awww! And of course the occasional tears and aggravation at the spoiled girl and then it all works out. All round good read. Can't wait to read the next one.

    7. Short read, but not a novella. To be perfectly frank, the concept behind this story made me feel a little icky. The author was able to handle it fine by the end of the book, but a widow's deceased husband's friends making a pact to woo her so she doesn't leave the Cove and further upset their group? Yuck. Heaven forbid any of them TALK to her about it - especially since she seemed to be the most entrenched one of the group! The POV shifts to minor characters seemedrced? I understand that the autho [...]

    8. I don't hate this book, but I don't love it. It's a nice feel good read and I liked that, but I feel like there's not a lot of action. Everything just goes along and if there's a problem, it's quickly resolved. I feel like the characters are kinda flat. There's some depth to them, but it just still feels that something is missing from them.

    9. First off Tawdra is one of my favorite authors! I loved her last series which was the King Series and so when I found out that she was going to be having another release but it was going to be a romantic drama, I was thrilled! This novel will have you shedding some tears. What would you do if your significant other passed away? I could not even imagine what I would do. My hubs is my everything and he makes me feel whole and complete. I can not even make it a whole day at work without chatting wit [...]

    10. The Posse is about a widow named Jude. It's been a year since her husband's passing and "The Posse" has decided that they need to step in and take care of her. Heaven forbid she fall in love and move away from them. The Posse is a group of guys who have been friends since grade school. They are more than friends, they are family. Daniel, Jude's late husband, was a member of The Posse. Although they all mourn his death, the reality that they could lose another of their group (should Jude move awa [...]

    11. (Rating: 3.5) Jude is a widow with two college-aged kids and a close group of her husband's friends who call themselves "the posse." As the story unfolds, we learn the posse has recently released Daniel's ashes and have gathered together to remember their friend who died from cancer and to talk about his widow. They promised their childhood friend they'd all take care of Jude but maybe, just maybe, one of them should step forward and try dating her, you know, really try taking care of her. As Ju [...]

    12. The Posse by Tawdra KandlePrint Length: 242 pagesPublisher: Hayson Publishing (July 3, 2013)I received this book in exchange for a honest review. The Cover~ I adore all the covers by this author. This one especially. The color contrast is beautiful and so is the scenery, not counting the way the person is posed on the front. This cover truly looks like a traditional romance cover, but is more in touch with the modern trends. My Review~OMG! Love love love it! Did I mention how I love a hot guy now [...]

    13. This book was such a pleasant surprise. I have to admit after the first chapter, I wasn't sure it would be the story for me. I am glad I kept reading it, as the storyline was unique and well told. All the characters were so genuine and likeable. This was a story of real people with deep friendships that displayed their loyalty with their actions and words. The Posse is a group of men that have been friends for years. Almost 2 years ago one of their members died, leaving behind two kids and his lo [...]

    14. I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. This book starts a series of adorably sweet and romantic books that revolve around “The Cove.” Here we meet them all and get to dive right into their beach-loving lifestyle. This book began with a bit of a bummer. Jude’s husband (Daniel) has passed away and she is still trying to find her footing. Her children are grown and she’s running her own restaurant, but she’s not exactly working hard at a social life. The “posse [...]

    15. I was given this book for an honest review. I found this story to be a light and sweet read. Here we have Jude, a strong, sometimes feisty and a little heartbroken widower. Still 2 years after she lost her husband she is still trying to stay strong while mourning the loss of her first love. Then we have Logan. 1 of the guys from The Posse. The Posse is just a group of 5 friends that have stuck together since grade school. In a way they are all still mourning the loss of Daniel, Jude's husband an [...]

    16. I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. You can find the original post on Genuine JennThe Posse is a love story, not your typical man and woman meet then fall in love, no this love story brewed over thirty years with love being put on the back burner. Jude was married to Daniel her highschool sweetheart. They had a group of friend they hung out with all through school and remained really close friends, The Posse. Daniel got really sick and passed away a year ago and this [...]

    17. The Posse: A Crystal Cove BookBy Tawdra KandleReviewed by Terri Parks AllenOne woman, three men, and a beach romance as unpredictable as the riptide. . .Being a widow at the age of forty-four was never in Jude Hawthorne’s plans. After her husband’s death, she’s left with her family’s beach restaurant and two nearly-grown children. 18. Cute and different - it's about a woman in her mid-40s who finds love again after her husband dies. I liked the characters and the fact hat someone not 20-something could find love.Jude Hawthorne and her husband, Daniel, grew up in the small FL town of Crystal Cove. They noticed each other at 8 years old and never gave another soul a second glance. Daniels's friends were known as "The Posse," a group of guys who grew up together and remained friends into their 40s.The book starts a year after Da [...]

    19. I received this book for a fair and honest review. I was very eager to read this book since it's by one of my favorite authors. I fell in love with this book instantly. I was sucked into the story and didn't want to do anything but read to find out what happens next. I'm a romantic at heart. I love to read romance novels. That being said, I only like ones that you can see happening in real life. I don't like the cheesy romance novels that make all men in a sex symbol. I found myself very early o [...]

    20. First, I would like to thank Ari Stone and Tawndra Kandle for providing me with this book so I may bring you this review. Tawdra immediately started to pull on my heart strings in the prologue and didn’t let go until the beautiful ending when tears were shed. The Posse was full of life long friends, love, loss, mistakes, learning to love again, marriages, pregnancies, and passion.I loved how all of Daniels best friends stuck by Jude and her kids to make sure she was always taken care of no mat [...]

    22. Can I give this book 10 stars?????I love this author she switched genre with this book, but what a wonderful, loving story about five friends, close friends for years, 4 men, one woman. when Jude's husband dies after battling his disease, the posse comes together and admit they are afraid that Jude might leave town, but they want her to stay. Soon the men agree that the posse needs to try to keep the posse together.Question is is Jude ready after her husbands passing for a new relationship. Who [...]

    24. The posse was an endearing book about a woman, Jude, who lost her husband at the age of 44 hand her world gets turned upside down. With her friends there for support she knows she can face anything and might even fall head over heels in love again. I fell in love with this book. The characters are funny and relatable so this book seems very realistic. I knew going in that her love life wasn't quite over even after her husband died, but I could tell through little clues throughout the book who sh [...]

    26. The Posse by Tawdra Kandle5 starsI absolutely fell in love with this story. Jude is a survivor, losing a spouse after so many years, especially when you're still so in love with them, would be extremely difficult. Having the support she did to get through everything that happened to her was definitely a big part of her making it through a stronger person. As the guys in The Posse try to help her, it is both comical and sweet. This is such a romantic love story, with a bit of steam. I was so thril [...]

    27. This is everything you want in as contemporary romance and more. I loved this story, it has so much heart to it. I have to say a few tears were shed while reading. The main character was great and I loved the idea of a group guy of friends trying to take care of their own. Its funny sometimes how much fate and second chances can play into peoples lives and what people will do for love. Setting aside the feelings you have for the person you love for 30 plus years and still being a tight nit "fami [...]

    28. the posse by tawdra kandlereviewed by kaila for cbrI really enjoyed this story. It sucked me in and kept my attention. it was sweet and loving and I liked the characters. I did have issues sometimes keeping track of the POV, but that's my own brain not the author's writing. She did amazing keeping them straight and not being confusing with them. I loved the guys and their struggles and the struggles that everyone went through to get where they needed to be. Very good story and I'm very glad I go [...]

    29. It was a nice, easy, romantic read about second chance love. The story is about Jude a recent widow with 2 college children and how her husband’s best friends, “The Posse”, decided that the available guys should court her so that she would stay within their community. Jude was a hardworking woman who owned a restaurant and was diligent about opening it up at four in the morning every day. She was also into 80’s music. I enjoyed reading about the blossoming romance between Jude and one of [...]
