    1. This review was first posted on Northern Plunder, if you want to see more reviews please click here.I have been lucky enough to receive an ecopy of Death Dealer as part of a book tour hosted by IMR Blog Tours, which does in no way reflect my opinion of the book. Death Dealer is only 140 pages so like with all novella's I'll try not to give too much away. What I first noted and loved throughout the whole of the book was the world building, because whilst it's set on Earth as we know it, the charac [...]

    2. A fast paced book about a new paranormal being, at least in my opinion. Mia and Deacon are Death Dealers. The best way I can describe them is to think of them as Reapers, but they aren't angels. These are people who have signed up to transport souls to the gates of their deserved afterlife. After they achieve a certain amount of control over their powers, they can become members of the Elite. From the Elite, if they survive, they can become a Death Angel, an actual reaper if I understand it righ [...]

    3. I absolutely love Death Dealer. Of course I love anything written by Ashley Robertson, however, this one was a little out of the norm for genre when it comes to Ashley but she still didn't disappoint. The world and story Ashley brought with Death Dealer was EPIC! The characters seemed so much more real than most even if it was Paranormal, they still were dealing with things that would hit home with a lot of people in today's society and I think that's what made this story that more awesome. I th [...]

    4. Nose Graze — Young Adult book reviewsI have to say right off the bat that I don't normally read novellas. I usually find them unsatisfying because the length doesn't allow for a lot of character/plot/relationship development. But I adore Ashley Robertson, and when she gave me the chance to read Death Dealer I jumped on it! I absolutely love her and it helps that the book sounded amazing which I can now confirm that it was! This is a tough review to write because what I think is the most interes [...]

    5. *Originally Reviewed on Pages Of Forbidden LoveDeath Dealer was such a short story but those 140 pages still contained an interesting story filled with action and emotion. Both Mia and Deacon lost people close to them in a horrible way and became Death Dealers in exchange for some revenge in the future. They now spend their lives delivering souls to their proper gates but that is no piece of cake. Their journey’s from point A to point B is filled with crazy sounding creatures/demons (Ashley Ro [...]

    6. Mia is out for a vengeance. After her parents were brutally murdered(which she dint find out for awhile) she signed on to be a death dealer with the promise of collected the murderer soul and sending him to hell. I totally feel for Mia if this happened to me I would be out for major vengeance also. However I think this has allowed walls being put up that she needs to put down especially with Deacon.Deacon clearly has a crush on Mia. They have been working together on some cases since she became [...]

    7. Death Dealer what to say about this book well first of all this book is really really good and I surprised myself by actually reading it in one sitting. I have to say that the cover scared the bejesus out of me because it is totally creepy but after the first chapter I was hooked. What would you do to get revenge on the person or persons who have murdered your parents? Would you sell your soul to the devil? Would you make a deal to be a death dealer? Well Mia had to make that choice because her p [...]

    8. Death Dealer is just the first novella in the series. I have to say that I normally do not read novellas because I get so wrapped up in the characters and then POOF they book is over. This one was not at all like that. There was so much story and detail packed into a 140 page novella. Deacon and Mia are both death dealers. I am not quite positive what a death dealer would look like but they would be a dark figure, maybe like the reaper. I just imagine them as being terrifying even though one of [...]

    9. Ashley RobertsonDeath DealerA Death Angel Novella-Book 1For a novella, this book has a shocking amount of detail and context, and felt like it was much more. A fairly unique concept, people are hired to become Death Dealers and tasked with collecting people's souls when they die and safely deliver them to either the Light or Dark Gate. Revenge fuels Mia on, but is it also what is holding her back?I soon found myself completely engrossed, turning page after page, wanting to see what was in store [...]

    10. Death Dealer is a quick read, perfect for a rainy or lazy day.It shows two points of view, Deacon and Mia, as their story unfolds. Both are death dealers, or as I like to call them, reapers. Both have had people they loved murdered, and our in this service for revenge. But what is a reaper? Ah, they usher the souls of the dead between the gates of heaven or hell, while trying to survive against the deviants attempting to kill you.So what happens when you finally get your revenge?I really like th [...]

    11. Mia Baron is a Death Dealer. A life she choose to live when revenge against her parents murderer was offered. Being a soul Taxi is not an easy job. She often needs the assistance of her partner Deacon an elite Death Dealer. When the scum that killed her parents is finally on her to die list she is relieved until the unexpected happens. To say that this case was her hardest is an understatement. Death Dealer was a cool read it really was. The world that Ashley built was amazing. I loved it. The h [...]

    12. This is the first book I have read by Ashley and it defiantly will not be my last. I absolutely loved this book. Mia is no stranger to death since her parents were murdered when she was four years old. Later in her life she is approached to become a Death Dealer she only agrees so that she can be the one to take the murder’s spirit to the dark gate. But when Mia gets the case she has always wanted but to ensure she follows the rules her partner Deacon who has his own reasons for becoming a Dea [...]

    13. There are very few novellas I will read and actually enjoy. I can honestly count on one finger how many there are. I might have to start using my other hand so I can add this one to it. In the beginning of Death Dealer, I was worried because there seemed to be a lot of back story to go along with the current story. Since novellas are generally 100 pages or less, would Ashley be able to bring the past and the current times together to understand the characters and what was going on. Well, she did [...]

    14. Death Dealer came as a surprise from Ashley Robertson's other series, because as humans we get trapped into taking matters into our hands and forget who we truly are and how we even got to our current position. Mia Baron, the main character, takes it a step further when she sells her soul to revenge her parents death, little does she know about the surprises coming her way, even falling in love with the last person she dreamed about. Don't allow this novella get in the way of reading a romance s [...]

    15. Excellent story. I found the idea of this novella really intriguing. Death Dealer is a fast read. A story that is death and vengeance, but a sweet romance as well. Having lost a parent at a young age, it was easy to related to Mia and many of her emotions. Mia and Deacon are both strong characters - bent on their missions. But there attraction for each other slowly seeps into their conscious. The reaction the two characters have to their mutual attraction is delicious and worded beautifully by R [...]

    16. WOW! I really enjoyed this book. The imagery in the beginning was hauntingly beautiful and well done. I was invested in the characters from the very beginning wanting to know what was going to happen. There is a lot of emotion in this story and you can feel it the way the author writes. I am really looking forward to the next one!

    17. I enjoyed the story. Mia is a grim reaper who escorts souls to heaven or hell. She falls in love with her partner and mentor Deacon. Seeing their relationship evolve is nice and cute to see them fight it. While I had a problem with the couple's first intimate encounter the story of Mia evolving is interesting to watch.

    18. This review appeared first at Fantasy is More Fun.I really thought I would love Death Dealer. I love books that deal with death and I seem to have a fascination with reapers or death dealers as they're called in this novella. And the idea that our main character - Mia Baron - sold her life away to be a death dealer and get vengeance had such incredible possibilities.Unfortunately, I didn't feel Death Dealer lived up to its possibilities. It was a pretty okay novella, but I think the ideas and ch [...]

    19. Review forthcoming on a-reader-lives-a-thousand-liveI received a copy of Death Dealer in exchange for my review. As a Death Dealer, death is something that Mia has had to come to terms with, and when having to help transport the soul of her grandmother she encounters Deacon, her Death Dealer partner for when they have to work in pairs. Given her next assignment, Mia is finally faced with the man that she's always wanted to see punished; the man that brutally murdered her parents. Deacon is sent a [...]

    20. **copy given in exchange for a honest review**3.5 Death-Dealing StarsMia was raised by her grandma because her parents got murdered when she was only 4yrs old. Her grandma tried to hide the painful truth from her as long as she could, until one day in highschool, a boy asked Mia if she's the daughter of the murdered couple; the couple, whose police case still wasn't closed. After lots of research, finding out that everything is right what her classmate said, all Mia seeks is revenge! By the age o [...]

    21. I first want to say that I am always a sucker for a paranormal romance! I was intrigued by this book because I don't usually read one that doesn't have to do with vampires or demons. Death Dealers? Surewhat the hell. This story is about a girl who in turn for finding the man who gruesomely killed her parents and put him to justice sells her soul. In return, she gets to collect the souls. As part of the deal, she gets to work alongside Deacon, a fellow death dealer. There have been feelings buildi [...]

    22. Mia Baron and Deacon Gage have a lot in common. They are partners, both bad-ass Death Dealers, meaning they are sent to free souls from human bodies and escort them to the Light or Dark Gates (which often involves battling horrifying demons), and they both took on these jobs seeking revenge on those who destroyed their families. They want to be the ones to escort those souls to Hell. When Mia gets her chance, Deacon is assigned to help with the job just in case Mia’s emotions get in the way of [...]

    23. *I received this book from the Author via Lady Amber’s Tours in exchange for an honest review*This is a novella, about paranormal beings known as Death Dealers, which for every sense of the word are death. A sect of beings who traded their mortal lives for personal reasons who now all serve under a boss who sends them to collect the souls of the dead and dying. This book centers mainly around Mia with some additional centering around her partner Deacon.I found the story an interesting one thoug [...]

    24. Mia Baron was just a child when her parents were murdered. She wanted revenge. In order to get that revenge she signed a contract to become a Death Dealer. As a Death Dealer Mia seeks out recently dead souls and guides them to either the Light Gate or the Dark Gate, depending on how they lived their lives before they died. However the road to the gates is not an easy one. Demons intent on claiming the souls for themselves constantly attack the dealers, meaning they need to fight their way through [...]

    25. So, what’s a girl to do when she needs revenge for the grisly murders of her parents? Become a Death Dealer! Mia’s parents were murdered in cold blood and in an icky manner… some body parts still haven’t been found. Her partner Death Dealer, Deacon signed up to revenge the rape and murder of his twin sister. Having worked side by side for quite a while, they are fighting their attraction for each other while they battle demons from gnawing on the souls they take to Heaven or Hell. Mia fi [...]

    26. Review: This book is good. I am upset that this was a short. I cannot wait to read the next one.I fell in love with the characters, especially Mia. She was detailed very well for my imagination to take over. I could not relate to her, but that did not affect the way I felt about her. Instead of being my best friend, she was just a co-worker feeling for another co-worker. Detached but affected by the outcome.Deacon is a different matter. He is not as defined as Mia and that is reasonable due to t [...]

    27. Death Dealer (A Death Angel Novella-Book 1)love or revenge which would you choose? Deacon and Mia are both death dealers. What might you ask is a death dealer? I picture it something like the grim reaper. They go out and collect souls when the time has come. Sometimes, they have to get the soul to exit the body, and others the soul just jumps out. Along the way to the light or dark gate their can be scary creatures which try to interfere and they fight. This job can be dangerous , yet it is a jo [...]

    28. The Death Dealer by Ashley Robertson4 StarsTo avenge the murder of her parents, Mia signed her life away and became a ‘Death Dealer’, a guide of sorts to aid souls into the afterlife. Not as simple as it sounds, the job could, and quite often did become dangerous. When she finally thought justice would be served and she’d received the file to collect Claytons soul (her parents killer), she was devastated to discover not only had he got away with the murder in life, but since he’d recentl [...]

    29. 4.5 starsI wasn’t sure what I was going to get when starting this book or if I would even like it. I obviously knew it was about a death dealer but that is about it. I can say that I loved the book. The Author came up with characters that just amazed me. Details that took me a minute and a re-read to get but also amazing. Mia and Deacon had simple jobs but ones that could prove tough for anyone. This book started out with making me tear up and ready to cry. As you read this book you will absolu [...]

    30. I received this ebook free for an honest review.I really enjoyed reading this book! Here is my only negative. I felt it was too short!I really wanted to read more about Mia and Deacon!!  I loved the chemistry between the two of them, and it would have added soooo much more to their tale to have a little more background as opposed to the memory flashbacks we get.  However! You can still reach out and touch the tension between them, and you get a sense of the urgency that Deacon feels when he ma [...]
