    1. Wow, what an abysmal affair this book was. The first quarter was a tolerable mishmash of paranormal and science fiction tropes. Nothing outstanding, but nothing wholly objectionable either. Once the plot launched into space, so did all logic and subtlety. One would think a book about a vampire stripper named Cherry Cordial going to Mars would be a tad on the self-aware side. You'd be wrong. Oh how serious this book was. Seriously. Which made its misogyny and outright batshittery that much more p [...]

    2. Off-the-wall, fun to read Vampire storyCasey Wyatt keeps readers entertained with feisty, colorful characters and lots of conflict. Written in first person, this vampire story, centers around Cherry Cordial, a stripper at Fang Bang, and handsome rouge vampire, Ian. When the Cherry and Ian are framed for murdering the Queen by her devious daughter and successor, Cherry is burdened with saving their race from extinction. They escape Earth in a newfangled spaceship headed for Mars. There, with Ianâ [...]

    3. The Undead Space Initiative combines a mish-mash of elements into an intriguing story that starts out on Earth but then takes us on a rollercoaster ride to the planet Mars where vampires, zombies, and revenants learn to live as a new society.  Throw in a bitter royal bent on murder and you have a story that has you on the edge of your seat just when you think a HEA has been achieved.Cherry is a stripper who's on the run after being accused of murdering the Queen who placed a bracelet on her wri [...]

    4. So, backstory time: I requested this book from LibraryThing back in December, because I mean come on. Vampire stripper? Colonizing Mars? Cherry frickin' Cordial? it sounded like the most excellent, campy shit this side of the Beautiful Creatures movie. I gleefully told my friend Shiori about it, because she digs the camp and sci-fi romance is her genre, and we kicked back, eagerly awaiting vampire strippers IN SPACE.Cut to four months later, and still no word from LibraryThing. I'd won a copy, b [...]

    5. Interesting combination of characters and venues. For instance, the local Burlesque House is divided between a crude Pole Dancing section that features and caters to normal human customers and a separate high class section that features the undead, Vampires mostly. They do traditional dance in a form popularized by Gypsy Rose Lee. The story line is interesting as well. An entire family of Vampires is Targeted for extinction after their sire is killed following his naming of Cherry Cordial as Fam [...]

    6. The Undead Space Initiative is a well-crafted, captivating paranormal romance. Once again Casey Wyatt demonstrates her talent for writing as she weaves a tale with a new twist on the paranormal . . . vampires on mars. Not only does she redefine the persona of vampires, but also has you revising your slant on revenants and zombies. The story was riveting from beginning to end and I couldn’t put it down until I finished. The chemistry between the sinfully hot Ian and the sexy Cherry Cordial is el [...]

    7. I’ve read tons of fantasy and science fiction, but few novels that combine the two. Undead Space Initiative does just that. I really enjoyed the mix of vampires and space travel to Mars. I found the references to canonical SF TV shows and movies fun. There were enough comedic elements to keep the whole book light and entertaining. In fact, I totally loved Wyatt’s mix of fantasy and science fiction until the knocked-up heroine intruded. If I want to read about the joys of pregnancy, I’ll re [...]

    8. Casey Wyatt has a way of making me step out and try stories I would normally never pick up. I'll be honest, I never read science fiction and I'm not much into vampires, but as I became sucked into her latest release, I forgot all about my reading habits and could only focus on the story at hand.Casey's writing is wonderful and well thought out. The story moves fast and the pages fly by. Cherry and Ian are adorable, and I love his accent. There were hints for another story to take place on both Ea [...]

    9. Loving this book can't put it down. I love the characters names. And the premise. A stripper Vampire. So cool.
