    1. Operator error. I'm not fabulous in the kitchen. The recipes sound delicious. If only I had someone to cook them for me.

    2. Remember when I said that "The Complete Book of Pasta and Noodles" wasn't the only pasta cookbook you'll ever need? Well, this is why. I absolutely love this North End cookbook. The history he includes and all the little vignettes about stores around the neighborhood are just charming. Great lasagna and eggplant parm recipes (just made the parm last night, in fact!), as well as some really fine ideas for fish and shellfish. Don't try making the cannoli, though: It's a total sham.     3. This is my favorite cookbook of the dozens I own. I have tried many of the recipes, and have found none that I would not try again. Several have become regulars in my house for many years I have given this book as a gift many times. We had the Macaroni Pie tonight. An easy and wonderful appetizer is the Pepperoni Pie. My favorite entree is the Chicken Braciolittini with Mushroom and Wine Sauce. You must try Vincenzo's Zuchinni Bread. Goodbye. I'll be in the kitchen.

    4. Best Italian cookbook by far. I have given this as a gift to many of my Italian relatives and they all agree. The recipes are spot on. The stories could have been told to us by our grandparents and parents. I love it.
