    1. Great short story and interesting take on the usual tortured hero. Jake is an ex-con, ne'er-do-well with tattoos all over his body and feels that he's no good. Certainly not good enough for Charity (what an appropriate name), the heroine. The author does a good job of giving you insight into his psyche and you can't help but feel sorry for the guy.The thing is, the heroine was just what he needed. I loved this line that she said to him so much, I highlighted it on my Kindle:"I'm your woman, Jake [...]

    2. ShortSWEETSPICYd to the pointt your average PERFECT herobut despite Jake's ROUGH edgesCharity sees the hidden treasure within himd makes him want to be a BETTER man together they make a PERFECT combinationwish it could have been longerbut still a DECENT readd the BEST part, it was FREE ;-)

    3. It was a cute short story! I enjoyed the story line but the author could have spent more time on character development and building a little excitement with the relationship between Jake and Charity. But I would be willing to give this author another try.

    4. Great read. Never judge someone for their outer appearance! You never know what a person's going through or have gone through.

    5. This story was a free download and introduced me to this writer. I love how she writes I think she is the bomb and loved the story too.

    6. Another great free read from Evernight. This is one longer than the others I've read and I really enjoyed it. Great characterization and a very yummy hero.

    7. This is a solid three stars. It could have been a five stars if it was expanded to a longer read that explored more about the relationships of the people involved.Charity works for advertisement firm, I believe, though we don't actually spend anytime there. She's stood up by a blond date when Jake, a tattoo artist, send over a bottle of wine to her table. The story goes from there. Jake was very defensive in the beginning and they get off to a rocky start. But, they give into chemistry. Charity [...]

    8. The story was good, but the writing was less than desirable. Aside from the few typos, and sentences that made no sense no matter how many times you read the, the chaotic head hopping did nothing for me. It wasn't the fact that the author wanted to tell the story from both POV, but she would start with Charity's POV in one chapter, move to Jake's POV, of the same situation, mid chapter, go back to Charity's, of the same situation, on the next chapter, then make you believe you are about to head [...]

    9. I didn't enjoy this book. There weren't any smooth transitions in their relationship. One minute she is completely repulsed, next minute she's handing out her phone number. One minute she's a 27 year old virgin, next she lets him deflower her on the table in a tattoo parlor. I just don't get it. I think if Ms. Hunt had made this a novel instead it could have been written better. I did have feelings for the hero being broken and heroine being so forgiving, but the written content left something t [...]

    10. For a free read, the story was pretty good. The connection between the main characters was hot and intense. I am glad the heroine had a mature outlook and was able to understand the hero. It was a nice twist to have such a tortured hero. I would like to see more from this couple.

    11. ok um wow this guy was rude. in the first chapter alone he mentally calls her a bitch and looks for a way to tell her to fuck of even though he's the one that drew her attention to him. nope not even wasting my time on this one

    12. It's a good thing when you don't want the story to end and this is definitely one of those that I could have read a lot longer. The story would have benefited from more length enabling Ms. Hunt to fill in more background and character development but I enjoyed it all the same.

    13. I liked this story bc it wasn't like you're typical IR book. I liked that Jake wasn't some super rich guy, who goes after what he wants and gets it.(eventually) Those kinda stories bore me. He was insecure, an enigma to Charity, and a likable guy from the beginnin.

    14. Totally loved this book. Sweet, yet spicy, IRR with a lot of heart. I wish that it was a full length novel. Looking forward to stocking up on books written by this author. Giving this one a solid 3 1/2 stars.

    15. This suffers from most of the problems of Cracked, not being long enough for many things to have impact. I wish that their relationship was developed a lot more. I wish that this story had more content and that I could have seen more into these characters lives.

    16. I really liked this novella. It had a lot of interesting elements, two complete opposites that came together. I would love to see more of what happens to them.

    17. This was okay. It was a short, quick read. There were portions of it that were sweet and some were "meh". But it was nice I suppose. It was okay, especially for a free read.
