    1. It's Christmas time in Holland Springs and we are back for another visit! We meet Joaquin Morales and Sage Caswell , our star crossed lovers. Their romance has been described by some town people as reminiscent of Romeo and Juliet. They were young lovers , and despite all the forces working against them, secretly married and started to plan their idyllic life. It was not to be, as actions beyond their control, including their families, tore them apart. That was four years ago.A little more than tw [...]

    2. I don't even know where to start with this review, but I love, love, LOVED this book! Sage and Joaquin are probably one of the cutest couples that I've come across in a book in awhile. Even though this was just a novella, I felt the story was paced well and didn't leave any strings untied. Overall this book was hot, sweet, sassy and super sexy! I can't recommend this author and book enough to all of my friends who love contemporary romance. I'm looking forward to what happens next in Holland Spr [...]

    3. FINALLY i got my cute & fluffy winter holiday fix!In fact after not being to sure if I will go on reading the series- this just convinced me that I will, one day. Valentine has a knack for writing characters I like, which is why I go keep going back for more. I am after all a sucker for character driven romances. Her writing style is great, I love the way she carefully sets up a story. They are well thought through and though this is light hearted she manages to add depth to the characters. [...]

    4. I was given a copy of this book by the author for an honest review. I have to say I love stories about Military Heroes. Joaquin and Sage have a history and he has come home to reclaim the wife he left. They share doubts, misunderstandings and an enduring love that makes this a must read for the Holiday Season.

    5. I've stated often that I enjoy a well done novella, His Christmas Wish, a Holland Springs novella, definitely fits into that category. We briefly meet Sage in Third Time's a Charm, and there was a hint that Sage's love life was in turmoil. That's a huge understatement, considering she's been married to a man she's not seen in four years, and their families are like a modern day Montague/Capulet pairing, which, you know that's totally full of familial drama. My favorite part of the story was the l [...]

    6. Also on sillymelodyGood morning y'all! Let us all take another trip to Holland Springs this Christmas in Marquita Valentine's new novella, which is His Christmas Wish. Yep, I know you are excited. If you aren't, why not? Come on this is one of my favorite authors. Well, I'll help you get excited.Joaquin Morales returns home to Holland Springs a war hero, yet he doesn't quite feel that way. Especially, when he's stuck on a car in a Christmas Parade. All he wants to do is get back to his wife, Sag [...]

    7. I've been a huge fan of Marquita Valentine ever since reading Twice Tempted. She is not only a talented writer but also a wonderful person and I'm so glad to know her. My adoration of Marquita and her work continues to grow with each new release. WowHis Christmas Wish was such an incredible story!! It was a heartwarming sexy read that I totally enjoyed. I just devoured this book~it was so good!! I couldn't put it down until the end because I had to see Joaquin and Sage get their HEA. And I absol [...]

    8. A nice, fast paced read with Sage who made a few appearances in Third Time's a Charm. We really didn't know anything about her in that book but this one gives us a nice look into the kind of person she is. A secret relationship then eventually a secret marriage built on lies, funny enough it wasn't either party who lied but someone else to keep them apart, though I am still not sure why Virginia didn't want Sage with Joaquin in the first place. That's never explained. What can I say about Joaqui [...]

    9. After winning the first two books in this series, I couldn't resist purchasing this novella. It's very cute, and I loved the military hero and his kindergarten teacher "abandoned" wife. My only complaint would be that the explanation of the split between the two and the hero's idiotic behavior afterwards were dealt with very quickly, but I think that is one of the downfalls of the length of a novella. I can't wait for the third book in this series to come out!

    10. 2.5 StarsIt was okay. Not bad.It is just a novella, so there's no need to expect a full-blown story. I think it has potential though. But then again, it is set in the Christmas season, and I understand how hard it is to compress a story in just a few weeks. (I was never a fan of short and quick romances.) But it has potential, with the lead characters knowing (and loving) in each since they were young(er). But it still was okay. Not bad.:p

    11. Joaquin does not feel like a returning hero. He messed up bad with the girl of his dreams and has not spoken to her in the four years of his enlistment except for the big fight. Oh, and the letters her wrote to her under a different name Sage had her heart broken when Joaquin walked away and never contacted her again. Nothing. Now she finds out he deceived her and she can still only do what her mother wants her to do.Joaquin is determined to prove to Sage that her still cares for her and has a p [...]

    12. His Christmas Wish, by Marquita Valentine, never really grabbed me in any meaningful way. The characters felt young and the odds of them making it, impossible. Even Sage being able to simply forgive Joaquin for disappearing and deceiving her seemed remote. The writing was decent. The story did feel Christmas-y and the heat between the characters was present but the premise felt so unimaginable that I just could get past it.

    13. A great little Christmas novella that reminds us that wishes can come true.Joaquin Morales and Sage Caswell come from "rival" families. They fell in love as teenagers and married (secretly) while away at college. Unfortunately, their love was quickly put to the test of family and hot heads. Four years later Joaquin is home from war and wants his wife back. Have there been too many misunderstandings? Has their love stood the test of time and separation? Come along to Holland Springs and see if lo [...]

    14. This book starts out with a mystery as to why Joaquin and Sage are at odds. Throughout the story we learn of Joaquin's deception and why he and Sage became estranged. Sage has a hard time forgetting Joaquin but also is manipulated by her mother at every turn. When Sage finally gets some clarity and learns why Joaquin did what he did, she begins to forgive and try to move on. Joaquin shows Sage that he can be trusted and wants to remain her husband and for them to try for their happily ever after [...]

    15. Joaquin Morales, war hero, returns home to Holland Springs with one simple Christmas wish. To make a go of the marriage that he walked away from four years earlier. But will he be welcomed home with open are from both his wife and his family that disowned him for marrying Sage? The book is a short but still enjoyable story, but to me personally I don't recall any of these characters in the prior stories. This a story that is but isn't a part Overall 3.5 star count.

    16. Great read! It's centered around the holidays but it's truly a story of coming home and fighting for those you love. After serving in Afghanistan, Joaquin Morales comes back to Holland Springs to claim the only woman he has ever loved, and it just so happens, she's his wife. Sage Caswell may think she's over Joaquin but he intends to prove her wrong. You want to read this one!!

    17. So good.Seriously, Marquita does not disappoint with her novellas! Short, sweet, and steamy! Joaquin is such an awesome hero and army Veteran trying to win back his wife's love But her family and his family and his family stand in the way. This whole series is a must read.

    18. Quick readA short, sweet story about family feuds, lies, mistakes, and rebuilding trust. Joaquin and Sage work to find their way back to each other after deceptions coming from a couple of people, while dealing with their family's feud. This can be read in one afternoon.

    19. This is the first book I read by Marquita Valentine. I liked the hot & steamy scenes. I liked the military scenes in this story, it gives the reader a good insight into what a soldier goes through. I liked Joaquin & Sage character. I liked Joaquin plan. This was an okay story to read.

    20. Love the story of Sage and Joaquin Morales. Returning hero from aghanistan reclaiming his wife. It was hot

    21. Sage and JoaquinThis was a quick read. I enjoyed it and wanted a little more. I enjoyed the entire Holland Springs series.

    22. Brilliant characters, great story and so well written you cant put it down.Would highly recommend all the books in the Holland Springs series

    23. It was great done read them all except new ones and can't wait to read the rest of the story I hope it keeps going love them
