    1. On rereading this now for about the fourth time (four kids), I continue to appreciate the nice balance in this book of kid fun factor and factual information. In fact, for struggling readers, the child can read the graphic novel parts at the topic, while the parent reads aloud the factual detailed information at the bottom. Or, if you are reading with an older child or better reader, it is written simply enough the average 3rd grader would likely be fine independently.

    2. These books are so fun!! I wish there were more in the series. I really like the concept and the way they explain everything. History for me is fun but I have a very hard time learning it. If only my history book was like this!

    3. It was cool when they went into the book to Egypt. It was cool that Egyptians ate bread that was made out of flat rocks and you have to be careful if you eat it because there is a little bit of sand and grit in it. I did not know that Egyptians drink beer, but it is not bad beer like people do right now because they made it out of something else. In the story, they had to read every word in the Egytian book they opened and when they read every word they went back home. Then they said they will n [...]

    4. Wonderful search-and-find book about a little boy and girl walking home from school. The little boy looses pretty much all his possession along the way and you have to search the pages to find where he left them.Awesome illustrations! The drawings are of actual locations in Paris - the author has a list of them at the end of the book. Excellent!

    5. These creative adventure stories have a fiction story as well as a nonfiction guide book at the bottom of the pages that gives actual facts and information about the time period. My six year old loves these stories and I think they are definitely worth a read.

    6. I learned a lot about Ancient Egypt. Most kids didn't wear many clothes. If you robbed tombs you would be impaled. It is the first in the series.

    7. This was a fun book, full of facts and adventure. It made it seem like we really went to Ancient Egypt, because the kids in the book were able to travel back in time.
