    1. I read his collection Dark Thoughts and fell in love with virtually every story in it. I'd had this book sitting on my shelf for quite some time and FINALLY gave it a read. My initial thought: Wow! My next thought: Holy s***! followed by "oh, man!" And the coolest part? The book just got better and better as it went along, my heart pounding with each sentence, and man, does this guy have a way with prose. Every character, even small bit players, were pure flesh and blood. There were brief spells [...]

His characters' inner conversations, ruminati [...]

    4. This book was very well written. The dialogue was real and the storyline enveloped me so much that I couldn't put the book down.

This tale struck a cord with me as I was walking along the same path as Jeff, trying to rebuild his life after a stupid mistake. He has changed, but how does he get his wife to believe him. Then in walks Jan to destroy what little peace head had found. But life is all about Karma, what you do, how you do it and what you become, if you play nice. Martin Reaves w [...]
