    1. Many Muslims don't realize that Sufism is very much a part of traditional Islam. Sufism is the immense love that every Muslim should have for God. Although we may not agree with the Sufi order, there is much in terms of spirituality that we can learn from them.This is a the perfect short read to get your Sufi on!

    2. The Book of Aphorisms/Wisdom needs no introduction. I'm glad I finally decided to buy a copy of it in the Danner translation, because it truly is inspiring. The Munajat of Khwaja 'Abdullah are a bit different, more along the lines of typical Persian religious poetry. "Wine" is used rather often as a metaphor, for example. Though some of the things said in this book were a bit questionable, they were not so to the degree of bringing down the overall rating. I'm not going into detail on the conten [...]

    3. This collection of two Persian Sufi mystics is an excellent introduction to their thinking and writing. It is mostly poetry, written for the love of God. I found it interesting how much focus there was on love and mercy, rather than law.
