    1. This is a fun, light and quick read you'll enjoy. There are a few twists and turns to keep it interesting. Nicole is a bit headstrong and takes on a serious role as provider. Max is less developed, but definitely fills the role of knight in shining armor. Nicole and Max are good together and have a sweet story. Though the writing was a little dry at some points, the plot never stalls out and the pace is pretty good. Side characters are light, but good. Great for a quick read!cleanromancereviews

    2. Nicole Bradford works in a construction business; one busy day at work she accepts a phone call from Max Paradis, he is mesmerized by the voice on the end of the phone and finds himself in aure. The next day she meets sexy and handsome Max who sweeps her off her feet, with a passionate kiss to find that this lady is not his brother’s finance but her sister. ?? Now your curious as to why ?? He would be kissing his brothers girl ?? lol Their connection was immediate – sizzling and sparks flew [...]

    3. This is an ‘office romance’, an intrigue of relationships based within the structure of a corporation (a construction business), in the context of office politics, controlled by the two brothers, Max and Reed, and involving the three sisters, Nicole, Natalie and Kate. Max and Reed got to be partners in the firm Paradis and MacNamara, but Max sold his share to Reed to curtail mercenary moves on the part of his unscrupulous ex-wife. Nicole is an heroic figure. She suffered a parental bereaveme [...]

    4. Nicole Bradford left her dreams behind in NYC when her parents died in a car crash. At only 21, she had to care for her two teenage sisters. Now, six years later, she's holding down two jobs, one at the engineering firm of Paradis and McNamara. Unbeknownst to everyone else, she also works nights as a waitress, but only because of a dark secret from her life in the city that wiped out all the money she'd saved for her sister's tuition.Enter Max Paradis, partner and brother to Nicole's boss, Reed. [...]

    5. A neat love story with enjoyable points of humor. From the first paragraph, with Max calling from a plane and grumbling because no one in the office will answer the phone, to the moment Nicole answers the deserted receptionist’s line, we can see that these two are definitely made for each other, and even Max’s blunders as he thinks he’s protecting Reed from an avaricious female only strengthen that opinion.Carlo the villain is portrayed with just enough slime to make us hate him the moment [...]

    7. Guilty As ChargedBy Anna James81 pages, approx. 22000 words While being a short book, Ms. James manages to provide character and depth to both her male and female leads. Max Paradis is a strong male, sure of himself and the world around him. Nicole Bradford is a determined woman, leading a secure life while completing the raising of her younger siblings upon her parents death. When the two meet there are sparks immediately. However, what should be a simple, uncomplicated romance, is torn in two [...]

    8. This book was ok for me. With saying that I loved how it starts. I got so drawn into the story and my interest grew more and more with the characters before they met and a little after they met. After which, I felt like for me they took too long to connect it's a short novella and I wanted them to connect sooner. It felt as though they are saying everything but not doing anything but it was still an ok read for me. Apart from that I also enjoyed reading about Nicole's sisters and Max's family as [...]

    9. A sweet afternoon spent getting to know the Bradford Sisters. I love a romance where the villian is the reason the hero and heroine are at odds, and of course, I am a sucker for a brooding prodigal as hero. There is a little of each of the great romance components in Guilty As Charged.
