    1. A book I remember reading to my baby sister when she was little. It is about two very different friends in search of an area of commonality. Eventually they find it. A fun read aloud and one line from this book is still a part of our stock family phrases, which could just be because we did not own many books, but also might be because it rang true.

    2. Proof that ice cream fixes everything. This book is out of print and I'm in the middle of a panic attack because I'm letting my daughter take it to school for show-and-tell. I've probably scared her senseless with all the "BE CAREFUL!"s. But this was one of my favorite books as a child and I can vividly remember my father reading it to me and doing the voices. It's in pretty bad shape, with tape all over the spine, but we love it anyway.

    3. This was one of my favorite books to read to my kids. When I found it on now, 40 years later (for an astronomical price), I had to buy it for our grandchildren. My biggest thrill was reading it to the girls, using the deep Joe voice and high Sam voice, just like I did with our kids. It was like riding a bicycle all came back to me!

    4. This book is a wonderful story about two friends who like to do different things and are sad because they can't find something they both can do together, but they find something in common in the end. It can teach speech bubbles, how illustrations such as going over a page can make something seem bigger, how the size of a text can show how authors want their story to be read (big font for the bear and small font for the when the mouse was talking), and eclipses. I loved the story and it fits a K- [...]

    5. Joe and Sam are two friends who seem to not have anything in common. They just can not seem to find anything to do together because that like different things or are very different from each other. Until finally in the end they discover something that they can do together. This book can be great for encouraging the idea that regardless of how different people may be that does not mean that they can not be great friends.

    6. I love this book! I think it says everything we need to know to get along with others in this world. If only the (insert extremist group here)s and the (insert another here)s could have ice cream together!

    7. I enjoyed reading this book. This book would help children recognize the difference between big and small. They would be able to relate to the real world and see that everyone is different.

    8. One of my favorite books as a child. The lesson in this book is that differences are what makes friendships so special.

    9. This is a good book to read children when school starts. It tells how you and another person can have different things each of you like and still be friends.

    10. My favorite book as a child and one of my favorite childhood memories was reading it with my mom. I was thrilled when a good friend found a copy of the original print version for me!
