    1. On a vacation of sorts in Paris from her work as a New York City detective hoping to heal from her partner’s murder, Rachel Chang witnesses what she thinks is a mugging. Her intervention going toe to toe in a bloody fight with a vampire ends in a pursuit into the catacombs beneath the city of love. In the darkness she meets another vampire she thinks is simply a security guard. He saves her life but cannot persuade Rachel to forget about getting back the medallion taken by the vampire mugger. 2. Interesting short story. To be honest, this would make a really great full length book. It certainly has all the plot points, and in some instances I wanted so much to have been explained, or to have happened between chapters. Maybe it's my thirst for all things Vampire? I just felt more could have been done with a back story. That being said, I'd certainly read more from the author.

    3. Over all not a bad read. Plenty of action, but felt like it was all done too fast and in too short a story. There's a lot going on in Paris indeed and I'll be interested in seeing how the MC's team up for some more rogue action.

    4. Read n the "Love's First Bite" anthologyAnother DNF. I didn't like the heroine from the start and skimming through proved I was missing nothing.

    5. Short but good. Fairly fast paced. Few spelling and punctuation mistakes but not enough to be distracting.

    6. This was enjoyable. A little more elaboration wouldn't have hurt but I wasn't confused by anything at the end and I LOVE the POC MC so worth it :)

    7. An entertaining little vampire story. Nice read in the Mammoth Book of Vampire Romance 2 anthology.
