Il libro tenta una sveltissima analisi dei film di Kubrick senza dire nulla di nuovo: l'idea base attorno cui Krohn struttura il libro è il concetto di ripetizione, che Kubrick persegue opera dopo opera ripetendo scene e inquadrature da un momento all'altro del film, poi da un film all'altro, e riproponendo spesso lo stesso tema e lo stesso concetto in forme diverse.Fino a Orizzonti di Gloria Krohn non fa danno, presentando osservazioni condivisibili sui movimenti di macchina e le scelte di mes [...]

Me encanto la construcción del libro, las fotografías son hermosas (tan hermosas como pueden ser para tratarse de un director que toco temas tan sórdidos en sus películas) y los anecdotarios me encantaron. Perfecta revisión a la filmografía de un director impecable. Todo cinéfilo o habitual asistente al cine debería tenerlo.

    3. Very good if you're interested in psychoanalyzing Kubrick's work. The author does a good job of tying Kubrick and his approach to form to his spiritual predecessors Ophuls and Welles. Great series of books.
