    1. I really enjoyed this story. Gershator,the author, retells a Yoruba folktale aboutthe spirit of a man who lives in the iroko tree. He is both dreaded ,anyone who looked at him face-to-face went crazy and died, and able of doing great good. Thus, when a Nigerian community undergos many years without no child being born the women pray to the ogre-god, promising fruit and farm animals from their farms.
