    1. Quick Take:This tale had a a great premise, but I must admit that I had a hard time connecting to both the characters and the story. By the end I gained insight on some of the possible reasoning behind plotting decisions, but wished that could have come much sooner. Overall, the story is an intriguing entree into a series arc.Review:I feel a bit silly, because I only realized the meaning of the book's title a moment ago as I sat down to write this review (I'll give you a hint: it's about two mai [...]

    2. "Then from his body of the glory to God he created the Devas, who took the body that became the shining daytime. The Devas possessed the glory of goodness and allegiance to God. Then from his buttocks he produced the Asuras who were lustful and approached him for sex. Brahma then cast of the body from which he had produced the Asuras." - Brahma Creates The Non-Human RacesRyan McCarthy thought she left everything behind - her lover Ryan, her father Fraser and what she has become as a result of hi [...]

    3. If I could afford to buy up tons of copies of this book just so I could put it all in your hot little hands, I would. That's how cool this novella was. After reading another of Clark's works (Afterlife) I was immediately taken with her storytelling abilities, but after reading this I can't help but wonder why we aren't seeing her name plastered all over the shelves at your local Barnes & Nobles along with the heavyweights of the UF genre. This book might be short, but it's so well written tha [...]

    4. Also reviewed on the blog:gloriousbooks/201This was one of those reads where I loved the beginning, didn’t like the middle so much and then liked it again towards the end.The story really does start off with a bang. Ryan is already fighting for her life and is clueless about why. Great start right? I loved how she got out of the situation in that it tells the reader what the story is basically about in the most exciting and engrossing way. It was great.I loved the plot. The storyline was great [...]

    5. This story starts with a bang. From the start, the heroine, Ryan, is placed in a very bad situation. Enough to hook me in right away. Actually, as soon as I met Ryan, I wanted to follow her on her journey back into a life she tried to escape.Six years after she left APTT--Applied Paranormal Theory and Tactics--and her absent father, as well as her loyal lover, Ryan's living in a quiet town in Scotland. For once she has a place of her own, a nice job, and is actually getting on with an average li [...]

    6. This book ended up being a very different take on shapeshifting - one which I ended up liking immensely. That said, I didn't fall into the mythology right away. Maybe because I wasn't expecting Ryan's shapeshifting abilities to be drawn from an earth spirit and I had to take a big mental step back to get in the zone. Does that make sense? Being such an atypical approach to the subject left me off kilter for a bit. In a good way, mind you. It was all a matter of being in the right mindset and onc [...]

    7. When I got this eBook and looked at the number of pages, I said to myself, this book was too short to be a book. I wonder what kind of story that the author gave to the reader and ended in 152 pages only. I was just too naive. I never thought that I would find "To Be Continued" till I reached the last few pages. I can't help myself but disappointed. Because I have been hooked since the first chapter. This book is a quick reading. It kept me wonder what happened next. I liked Ryan and what she ha [...]

    8. Uncaged Book Reviews:This was a good start to a new series, and there was plenty of action, and suspense. This story brings you Ryan, who for the last 6 years, has been trying to build a new life for herself, after escaping from an organization run by her father, that has been experimenting on people and transplanting demon souls (devas and asuras) into human hosts for a symbiotic relationship. It’s rare when it actually succeeds. When Ryan is kidnapped and tortured by a man whose experiment w [...]

    9. From the first chapter, NIGHT AND CHAOS grabs the readers attention. We are introduced to Ryan as she was hanging from a light being tortured by an experiment that she tried to run away from 6 years before. Ryan’s father was part of a group, the APTT, that implants aliens into humans making these super humans. Ryan was the first successful experiment and she was now a shape shifter. After running from her kidnapper she finds herself in the arms of a long lost love. Just as she thought her life [...]

    10. Night and Chaos begins in a bad place for Ryan. It is never fun to wake up being tortured by an ex-coworker and having no idea where you are. Amazingly enough Naomi manages to keep up that level of suspense and action throughout pretty much the entire story. The book follows Ryan as her past catches up to her rather unpleasantly with her ex-boyfriend, her father and mother at war, and a whole host of demon possessed coworkers. Naomi seems to be a very talented author and I know I will be checkin [...]

    11. Again not being a big fan of romance I do have to agree I did enjoy this book. The romance aspect of it did not pull away from the storyline and the author did a good job of integrating both romace and fantasy. I admit I am looking forward to further works from this author and was glad I chose to go ahead a read a fantasy novel diguised as a romance.
