    1. In the snowis a big pile ofdelicious seed."Look!"Look!Who is coming to eat it?Can you spot them all? When the pile of seedgets smaller and smallerand day turns to duskand it getscolder and colder, who will bring new seed for the hungry animals?Look closely!Who is coming nowin the snow?"Very simple, easy book

    2. This book is not exactly what I expected. I thought the story would have a little more depth to it when I first picked it out, but it was a pretty simple book. I only gave a rating of three stars to the book because I was a little disappointed, but the illustrations are beautiful. The illustrations are detailed, creative, and colorful. It would be a good book to read to children in the winter season.

    3. A simple story of the animals who come for the seeds a child puts out in the snow. (Another that didn't arrive in time for my winter lap time.) 1/30/13Worked fairly well for baby time. One of the few, simple books with large pictures. 1/27/115Like Tafuri's pictures and simple enough for Lap Time.

    4. Really beautiful pictures. My daughter loved looking at them and asking me what the animals were. We talked about snow, and about wintertime, and what sorts of animals like to eat seeds in the snow. It opened up doors to look into lots of different conversations.

    5. Finally, a warm and sunny day to walk to the library. We loved looking at the birds in this book and laughed when we saw the squirrels eating the seeds.Opening LinesSomeone's coming in the snow for the seeds left high and low~millet, thistle, corn dropped so.

    6. I love the idea of this book. A child is seen laying out seeds for the birds and animals of the forest. What a compassionate view of humanity. I also love love the illustrations!

    7. Forest animals come out after a fresh snow to eat the seeds a thoughtful child has scattered on the ground.

    8. A variety of birds, bunnies, a squirrel and possum enjoy seeds left out by a young boy in snowy winter. Detailed illustrations and short text make it a nice book to read aloud to very young toddlers.
